you aint got to tell me there a bit clueless this time of year.you were the people telling me that there is nothing a deer x can do that a bull x can't and i just gave an example of coursing and then a challenge then you lot said a bull x can do a better job with foxing and i will accept the night or day out. i said 99% of bull x's are rubbish there proberly are a few that can do day and night foxing week in week out. 1% will be bred from genuine parents.you haven't a clue a deerhound x is like a pony goin around the place good for nothing, 2 big for lamping rabbits, a saluki if you want ha

A bit more than 1% I just think good lines are kept close within certain circles due to the nature of work

I think a good deerhound x will take a 3 winter foxes, but a bull x will take them 4 nights a week and still want more

It's joke what has already been said horses for courses. A bull x ISNT a hare dog, deerhounds were used for hare before the saluki arrived on these sores then they went out of favor due to the saluki been better at their job. Once again horses for courses

I admire both breeds, both brilliant dogs but the breeding has to be right.

Bull x's are good at their bred for. If you want a rabbit or hare dog their NOT although some dog catch the odd one. To say a bull x is a shit breed then you have never experienced a good one because when their good their GOOD and when their bad their BAD. Same as any mix of lurcher, dogs for jobs horses for courses

Boxed for a for a good 8 years that's about it also played rugby union for 3 seasons, am also a electrical engineer.

I think they make excellent point and slip dogs but for the brains there isn't much but this is just my experience. They will give 100% on every slip

Had a good friend who had an ex track dog when he first got her she was wild would attack any dog smaller than her, once he took her back to basic training she turned into one of the best Fox dogs i have ever seen, she would also take rabbit but abit hard mouthed also took hare not so good on deer. Had the heart of a lion but the brains of a gold fish. Atb with yours and keep us updated

I'd get bored way before the 100 mark.......but that's just me..... Exactly what I am getting at mate but don't think I'd ever see 100 in one night, must be some land to hold 100 rabbits although it does exist as I have seen tomo and tjones posts they do very well at the numbers game

Maybe so but 100 rabbits it's a fitness test that's it any dog will learn how to work a rabbit, practice makes perfect but pre ban quarry is a different matter

i can remember the day and night well,,, ,We will better the night this season for deffo. Not sure about the day. That was a hard days ferreting and would take some beating. lol i dont think that wud take much beating,,,next time we will stay till mid day,,,Haha ok you're on. There is more to the game than numbers deffo. I've had some little trips out with my daughter and only caught a couple and loved it just as much as the big nights if not more. But it's still nice to put a big bag away now and again and be able to say you tested your stock a bit, wether that's dogs or ferret
