  1. Good luck to anyone betting. A great 4 days - lets hope for good wins, and safe return of all horses. I'll be there Thursday, screaming my lungs out for a sure bet that will come in 7th !!
  2. Check for lice/fleas/mites/scabies, then check for skin infections, in a normal, healthy, happy dog, that is the most usual cause. Clipping the fur away, and cleaning and using something like hibiscrub can help with skin infections.
  3. Its nothing to do with being too polite............if you went for a haircut but it wasnt very good would you say " f**k you im not paying " or would you just not go back.........you got what you paid for ! I have on one occasion been hat appalled by the state some split arse left my hair in that I took the clippers off her and buzzed a line straight through the middle of my hair then simply told her to just take the f***ing lot off! And didn't give a penny. Is it wrong that I had a mental image of her saying " no - feck off ! " and making you walk back home with an reverse-mohawk ?! I
  4. was always Hähnchen when i lived there  That means 'little chicken'. Anything ending 'chen' indicates the diminutive form, eg Maedchen (where the heck is the umlaut?) means little girl, or in modern parlance just 'girl', from the original 'Maed'. And don't even get me started on Valenzgrammatik! or asparagus and fried eggs - now there's a tongue twister

Talk about the self destruct button...he dug a hole until he realised there was no way out...and some of her evidence ie, the poor wee woman forced to do this, that and the other was insulting to women everywhere...got their just desserts...no sympathy. Exactly Consequences. Feel for their kids though - it's usually the parents who watch their offspring f**k up...must be hard to have watched your parents midlife meltdown... Totally - reading some of the things she was meant to have said to t

  9. Good. He thought he was above the law and tried to get it " thrown out" because he was a politician She was a bitter woman who should have had more dignity than go to the press about it, and involve her kids.
  10. Even if the food isn't fabulous, and the service is mediocre, I wouldn't ruin a nice evening ( the company makes the evening, not the food ) by complaining. If it is "fine" but just not " Meg Ryan" standard, then pay, don't tip and don't return.
  11. No wonder it was causing problems !
  12. I love the fact that footballers will fall to the ground and act fatally wounded, when there was barely contact - yet they try to grab a wild polecat with bare hands.... !
  13. I saw that article - it was very well written.
  14. Sorry to hear the dog needs more treatment ( sorry for the dog, if you get what I mean - but it does need doing ) but I am glad it is being sorted.
  15. Them 2 pictures speak a Thousand Words !! Is that Hideous thing on Caster's ? No, but it should be - stuffed, on casters, and wheeled around as an example of what "show dog breeding" can do for a breed
  16. As you say - it takes 2 to tango. He needn't have drunk so much, or dropped his trousers. She shouldn't have crossed that line. Blame on both.
  17. For some dogs, yes - and "lurcher" as a breed has a higher premium than " x bred " - as do some breeds, like staffies, bull types etc I have mine insured - I don't have to claim, and try ( although I am the first to admit I don't always succeed ) to make sure my decision on what treatment my dog needs is not made on whether it is affordable/insured-payed but based on what is best for the dog. I will cope with most wounds myself, but the balance of stitches/clips, local anaesthetic and general anaesthetic has to be weighed up to. Treating your own animals is one thing, but stitching a
  18. They keep talking about " fit for purpose" - but I suppose it is going to take time to reverse some of the breed traits / trends. I remember seeing a ridgeback group winner about 15 years ago - was built like the side of a barn, massive head and chest, very solid - now all the rage seems to be for the angular, athletic, tall, lighter build dog. Having said that, my old ridgeback vacates the sofa if the cat so much as glares at him - "fit for purpose" my arse !
  19. It's sad to see the state of some of the breeds.
  20. Way to go Ruby ! Hope you got a big freezer - those legs take up some room !
  21. Not me, no - I've seen some odd coloured bunnies, but not much in the way of hares around here at all - but I will look forward to seeing a pic
  22. TEIAM - problem sorted.

    1. The Duncan

      The Duncan

Someone should make a t-shirt of that lol

  23. ..... and fluid build up under the skin. Without a drain hole at the bottom, it can build up. Sorry about the injury (and the bill....) hope it heals quick and clean.
  24. Jesus f**king christ!!! Curious about this, I Googled " Crufts Labrador Retriever. Horror of horrors!!! Does their 'Breed Standard' say; " Chest: Must be deep, barrelled and full. Guts: To be measurable in horizontal line with chest. Also deep, barrelled and full. Dick: A completely useless appendage to Guts (see above). Because, no 'Champion' with a gut like that could mate, without throwing up and doing himself a f**king injury anyway! " It's like a line up for the Olympics; Beer gutted slobs section! As for the Chav; Did its eyes look something like this? " " FFS. lol -
  25. Wish it had - would have loved to see the handler try and get it's flabby backside onto the winners podium....
