  1. Nice ferret mate. But who's the girl holding it?
  2. A rabbit being a gnawing herbivore needs something to chew on as its front teeth are constantly growing, a small bark covered log stops it chewing up its house, A pet rabbit mix is usually around 13% protein, subsequently you will need to provide additional small amounts of potato peelings, bread garden greens and roots such as carrots, a balance of green food is better as just feeding one type can lead to digestive problems, Suitable green foods include cabbage, kale, chicory, clover, dandelions, yarrow, parsley and shepherds purse. You need to provide hay at all times for a good balance, pel

  4. Next question, what are you feeding them? and how much? If your keeping them for meat, you can't go on feeding them forever with no gain at the end, Your not being impatient.
  5. Californian rabbits weigh between 8 to 10lb as adults, but are slower growing than New Zealand Whites that can produce young ones with a live weight of 4.5 to 5lb in 9 to 10 weeks. Apparently the skin of the Californian is preferable to the New Zealand White because it's thicker and more substantial.
  6. It's a case of when they're big enough they're old enough.
  7. I'm still interested mate, but you didn't send me the pictures.
  8. Thats something to behold, That is what mine "should" look like, but actually its running amock with bind weed and ground elder. Keep up the good work.
  9. I was talking to one of my customers who breeds American miniature horses, she told me she had heard some bad news from one of her friends that lives in Texas, she said that the fella in Texas gets troubled by coyotes killing livestock and off his ranch he has lost 20 odd miniature horses in 12 months, on this day he looked out of his window and saw a pack of coyotes round one of his horses, he ran outside with his rifle and downed two of them and the rest ran off, when he got over he found it was his stallion dead, it was a world champion and worth £45,000
  10. As it says would this be any good for snaring rats? Stainless Wire
  11. My dad used to work on a pig farm, he would find a breeding stop, neck all the little 'uns, then drop them in the swill boiler for 20 mins, then take them out peel their jackets off and eat, he reckons it's well worth trying.
  12. I wonder if its Pat the Warrener who is selling these? Quick Set Rabbit Snares

I agree with JohnGalway here, The Fella that did it to the kid needs a fecking good hiding. But the second one was mint.
  16. Is there anything wrong with breeding two black eyed whites together then?
  17. Best thing for them is some good old fashioned horse manure.

  19. I once saw a lurcher run into a set of disc harrows while lamping, very near cut the poor sod in half, the only good thing to come out of it was that it had a quick end.
  20. I would be interested too, but like hpool_hunter, I would like a bit more info.
  21. This isn't a very constructive answer as I've never seen a hooded crow or a raven , but I had no idea that the killed lambs.
  22. The problem is with small paddocks you are competing with horsey people, small blocks of land are highly sought after.
