  4. I have been busy cleaning up some of my Dads ancient collection of MK1 Rabbit Traps, as I'm going to Speed Dip them for him, while cleaning them up I noticed that some have different shaped jaws, seemingly the newer ones so I'm presuming that it's an improvement in them. Also out of curiosity who still stamps their initials into the trap pan incase someone knicks them?
  5. I'll give you £150 for the lot if you meet me halfway.

  7. Somebody rang me today as they knew I was a ferreter, and asked me where they could find a Silver Mitt ferret? They were disgusted with me when I said I didn't know what one looked like, and more or less told me that I knew nothing about ferrets. So if somebody would be so kind as to show me what one looks like I would be much obliged. Thanks

  9. Yup coz if you'd read some of the stuff available on here you'd know why your wires were knocked or pulled tight without catching and would know what to do to stop it happening and improve your catch rate, read through the stickys by snareman Your dead right Gnipper, if he had paid attention those wires wouldn't be knocked, they would have had a rabbit in them. willrennyferreter sort yourself out and move with the times, the more people that move out of the darkages the better it will be for snaring, especially in these turbulant times.

  12. Most of the land I snare is chalk if its been ploughed its not too bad, but I have a few chalk dales that have never been ploughed and the chalk is hard and compacted, and this knocks the shit out of wooden pegs, so a have a few snares rigged up with metal pegs the same spec as the wooden ones, you cant even get a wire peg in like Duckwing shows, and hoop snaring is out of the question.
  13. Roughly how many fenn traps would a 1 quart tin do? how would you prepare a used trap to be dipped? and once you have mixed it with petrol and used it once is that it for that batch?

  15. I got this from a website about Hybrid birds, “Domestic fowl have been crossed with guinea fowl, these are extremely rare and are known as interfamilial hybrids, as both are different species and are not closely related.†If they were mine I wouldn’t be eating them. Also “the Peafowl and the Common Guinea fowl have been crossed. Domestic Fowl/Pheasant hybrids have also occurred naturally. Domestic chickens and quail have been hybridised using artificial insemination.â€
  16. Are the parents both half x? 3/4 or what?
  17. Khaki Campbells are laying ducks, so they won't make the same weight as an Aylsbury or a Silver Appleyard, but saying that if you have too many drakes, or older ducks they are worth eating, provided there is enough meat on them.
