Hmm ! Anyway's, loads of crackin 's films, all the 'classics' and then some! Right out with it Paul.... been in the closet too long...!! Was always a sucker for those 'Brat Pack' type movies, Rumble Fish, The Outsiders, The Breakfast Club, Catholic Boys, St Elmos Fire, Pretty in Pink and my fav... 'Some Kind Of Wonderfull', Eric Stoltz, Mary Stuart Masterson etc... A mushy cracker!!!

jumping,what do i do?

Reduce the hight she's jumping. Look for, or set up sommat she could clear easily, though make sure it's still wire. Wind her up with something to retrieve over, get her exited to go over it with tones of praise for leaping without touching, she'll soon click that to get over faster to continue the game, it's easier to leap directly over. -
Err, I think you'll be refering to Lakeland type Terriers (black & tan), 'Patterdale' as a name for a dog was never used in it's native Lakeland until these types of terrier became popular in other parts of the country, locally they were (and still are by some) known as Fell Terriers, which is a name associated with the various crossbred terriers emerging from the Lakes area. The 'Fell Terrier' name covers all bases, including Patterdale, Lakeland (none registered) and Border/Lakeland's or any mix of these. Fell Terrier colours include, B&T, Red, Chocolate and (predominantly) Black (

Don't think 'The Rambo Line' ever existed, Rambo was the most used stud in a line of Bedlingtons, though i'm sure others on here know far more than me about the dog and the line it's off. There's a crackin thred on Bedlingtons on here, i'm sure you'll find all in that

Jon & Lynn Bickley from Norfolk used to do some crackin working dog pieces, got 6, used to buy 'em at the Cup each year bout 15 years since. I'll check the net to see if their still around.

This is OX mate, he's a Bull X. oh right, he's a mint looking dog bud! how tall is he? Thanks, I ain't seen that pic for a while as I lost 'em all when my pc went down. He's around 26", though i've never measured him! A recent trip to the vets had him at 36k. Oh, and he certainly ain't an Alaunt!! Nuff said, now back to the original thred, Strong Stuff's excellent collars, they'll hold him and anything three times his weight!

I've seen one too and yes, it was a handy little dog, bit snipe headed for me but it grafted underground and was a crackin ratter BUT.... One Swallow doesn't make a summer! Why breed the litter? Is your Russell a worker? Is the Fox terrier a worker? If either arn't, and a worker is required, there are enough advertised, on here for starters. Breeding from tried and tested stock can be tricky enough to produce decent dogs for 'real' terrier work. What of the rest of the litter, can you find decent homes for 'em, would you advertise them as working dogs? If your mi

Deerhound crosses were used predominantly as coursing dogs pre Saluki, with good results too I belive. Though like everything else the stock had to be right to do the job. I worked with an old boy in the early 's who bred and ran this cross with Nuttall of Clitheroe (mentioned in Plummers book Rogues & Running Dogs) in the 60's, to them it was all about good foundation stock to produce dogs that would consitantly kill hares (and I wish i'd have paid more attention as to what they used!). Did'nt reply last night cos i went to bed (ran out of cider, lol) Always interested to hear about terrier history, not interested if it involves slagging people though. Not saying that you would do that pal. As far as i'm concerned it's well worth buying (or obtaining) as a point in the right direction, especially for someone who is starting with their first lurcher. Regardles of whether D.S. owns a lamp or has average catching lurchers, so fecking what anyway! The dvd is informative and i'm sure can and will help any novice to running dogs.
