  1. I've been cleaned out over the past few years too, was recommended a plastic Eagle Owl, about 12 months ago, rather than the Heron and.... So far so good (i know i'm tempting fate by writing this!!) Had all the advice to net over the pond but for me its a garden feature, the fish are secondary, so i'll see how the owl gets on and if the flying fecker makes another raid, it's back to the shop for more cheap fish... My dads old pond was netted and it ruined the whole look for me, though he did have some expensive fish. Oh yer, I have heared that putting a 'pergola' over a pond can deter
  2. Tidy lookin bitch, with a bloody good honest write up, best of luck with the sale
  3. I've posted on this subject before, a few times. I had one, all supposed 'peformance' bred stuff, a pic of it, head only, can be found in my profile pics. Would I recommend one..... Never, about as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike!
  4. 15......(stone) Been huntin beaver most of my life
  5. Made me laugh, true though. What a combo, runs like fek and dont stop or listen. Ugly sod to boot!! :clapper:
  6. And i'll still give it a miss....
  7. Thats you and me both Simo, I see enough of that shite on a daily basis in the neighbourhood anyway....
  8. Very nice Jemblitz Note to self, One day son, one day......
  9. It works and works well BUT best if your dog is at a steady trot. Thing is, doing this type of training with a motor can be taken with a very dim view by some, especially the law and I suppose their's good reason, fecking idiots going far to fast, or pushing the dog far to hard and taking their eyes off the job and hitting the dog, maybe the dog spots sommat on that quiet country lane and turns sharpish in front of the car.... A million possibilitys....! The best option is you run with it yourself, or get a bike, that way your doing both of you some good and you'll enjoy that quiet co
  10. Putting this up for a friend who has no internet access. 12 month old Bull Greyhound / Minshaw. Due to unforseen circumstances, this is a very reluctant sale. The dog is un-spoilt and looking for a good perminant home, from what I know the dog has had a good start to work and should make a very handy critter in the right hands. Location is Cork and the price is £200. For further information contact the seller direct. Paul, 00353876416437.
  11. Glad you posted that GJ, I'm sure Brian has bred white pups in the past, just as his stock has thrown the occasional red, what 30 years of breeding has taught him is to keep quiet about anythin that ain't quite the desired result, both in colour and work! Yep, white dogs probably get thrown more often than not by bull blood in there somewhere, but as I said before, back when people called 'em simply 'working terriers' the colour of the dogs used mattered not a jot!
  12. As far as i'm concerned there's no such thing.... Any predominantly white dog born out of whatever colour parents is a Russell or should be referred to as Russell type. Plenty of lines will throw white every so often, it goes back to before folk started calling 'em silly names to sell, when any type was added so long as it worked. If your pup works and works well, be proud in the name 'Working Terrier', thats what counts!
  13. Now thats a dog that 'looks' like its done enough to produce offspring, I wish all at stud ads were the same
  14. Bill fecking Oddie Tony 'bollocks' Blair for fecking up Hunting (as well as this country) as we know it Gordon 'b*****d' Brown, with his 'sucking air over his teeth' pauses. Roger 'dodger' Crook.... I mean Cook. Ray 'fat arse' Mears, who's never survived on less than a pork pie in his life, over active cake gland, if you ask me!! Jeremy 'self rightious dick slap' Kyle That blond curly haired wine expert woman... bint! Gillian 'if it's all so good, why does she look so bad' Mckeith Steven 'misery' Gerrard, no ones arguing with the football son, just stay away fro
  15. If you lamp long enough, i'm sure you will Billy. Coming across 'lost' ferrets out lamping ain't that uncommon, neither is killing 'em! Pity your dog wasn't broke to 'em before slipping.
  16. a mate of mine had an english bull terrier called bosen.lol.wierd It's a small and wierd world Al, unless your mate lived in Liverpool in the early 's....
  17. Bosun from working on the Mersey rescue boat, my grandfather was also a Bosun in the Navy and I named my first bought dog Bosun (a Bull Terrier, I was 12) and eleven.... My fav number....
  18. Think it's a no brainer Micky, simply their ain't no 'facts' about it on here. Why dont you conduct the first experiment, lob some bunnys in the freezer, start with 10 days, thaw 'em, feed 'em and if you or your dogs get worms, buy some Dorontal and freeze 'em for longer next time...... Simples!
  19. Plenty of decent pup's on here, just have a look Up to 32" though might be a little harder to find
  20. A whole feckin tribe of 'em..... Do they all make collars & leads too....?

  23. there was only 1 dog that stood out for me it the dvd the big black with a white chest & white socks can t mine the name off the dog someone will do here atb keano Was it Ged or Lulu??
  24. Thats a good reply Dogman and good advice. Get that pup out, let it become accustomed to the surroundings you will later hunt it in, smells, sights and sounds. It will soon find sommat to run and if it does, great. It'll come to no harm and only learn from the expierience and want to do it again. By all means, carry on with your basic training too, retrieving etc. As far as i'm concerned, for pups of that age there is no such thing as a 'closed season', it needs the best start in life and that would be free running through fields to learn the basics of its future vocation BUT with no press
