  2. Make a good lamping wolf. Check out ' Voyageurs' on YouTube. Series of camera shots. Some cracking footage.
  3. Plenty of conflicts since WW2 Goly. If I were you I'd let this thread die mate. You've made a big enough arse of yourself. Hey it happens. I was once wrong. Back in in 1958 I think.
  4. Final thought. Goly is demonstrating the arrogance and selfishness of youth. Oldies aren't appreciated or cared for by the wider family as they are say, in the rest of Europe. We stick ours in care homes, take the houses and possessions of those that have them and farm them out to private entrepreneurs. Their carers are paid rock bottom wages which reflects the importance they are given. But oldies fought the wars and built modern Britain. It's a shitshow.
  5. I'm hoping to get RRR! on my notes. I dont trust the barstewards. Goly, change your photo to Dr Shipman.
  6. I've enjoyed retirement more than any stage in my life. It's the freedom. Funny thing is you take more care of yourself when you're old. When I was young you took daft risks. I smoked and had lots of horrible jobs, like steel erecting. I remember sawing asbestos with no mask ffs. You dont care when you're young. Every day is precious when you get old. I still get a real bang out of life. Why would you want to kill me Goly? To save a few bob? You forget we oldies paid stamps and tax. I paid tax when I was 15 and I'm still paying it 60 years later. People should be retired accord
  7. I'm warming to the idea. You trial it for us Goly and we'll follow suit...promise.
  8. How about mandatory euthanasia for bin men abusers?
  9. Typo there stiff.lol .The track went for housing. Ker ching.
  10. It would be great to gather together all the scams and stories surrounding the tracks. My favourite concerns a bloke who had a really tall greyhound. It was common knowledge that this dog could really motor but the owner was keeping it back until it reached really good odds. So that night finally came, and a split second before the start of the race the owner and his mates all placed big money simultaneously. Sure enough, the dog trapped like lightning and was pissing the race by 4 lengths or more. The bookies were in for a hiding until a little whippet suddenly "broke free" from a spectator
  11. Tell him Roy Keane had him in his pocket physically and psychologically but don't tell him where I live please.
  12. I loved Shearer as a player but he can be a boring so and so when he pontificates after games. Think he's taken over The Alan Hansen doom and gloom spot. Lighten up ffs.
  13. There's lads local to me who race at both tracks. All local tracks have closed. A bloke I know recently had a litter from his brood bitch. He works on the roads, so he's not exactly rich. He told me the pups were for sale, two grand each. I thought he was bullshitting me. But I looked on Greyhound Data and there they were. He sold them in a fortnight. So there's still pockets of interest and people willing to pay for a lot for their hobby.
  14. Pretty sure Sunderland track still operates. With so few tracks left, you'd think the number of retired greyhounds could be rehomed. Every second dog owner is keen to tell you their dog is a rescue. Seems like the British public is on a mission to get brownie points for rescuing dogs or becoming a vegan. Rather than adopting Spanish galgos or Romanian semi feral Street dogs the moral crusaders should put our own greyhounds first. I was happy to re_ home a laid back, graceful greyhound. But the boss woman insisted on a whippet.
  15. Cheers mate. Yep me holding the cake before it fell.
  16. You are that's a dog and not the hair which accumulates in the shower plug?
  17. I wonder at what point they decided they were so insulted that they should attack with axes, a metal pole, a sledgehammer and fire a fookin gun? Some on -the -edge people out there. Must be looking at ten to twelve years each surely?

  19. Aye me too. Listening to the skylark singing his heart out is good for the soul.
  20. I love the way Robins always follow you, especially in hard weather. I always think they must have been doing this for centuries before the industrial age when we all worked on the land. In hard weather I always take some seed to drop on my walks. You can bet your life Mr Robin is there first.
  21. The camera caught the cake I was drunkenly holding just before it slid onto the floor. But we ate it anyway. That's another story we can add to our hilarious stories for the future.
  22. Yep. Really good. My mate went overboard with the drink and I had to lend him a staff/ stick to walk home with. Even then he took a wrong turn and he and his Mrs had a " domestic" on the way home.lol The stories were even funnier than I expected them to be. They seem to get better the more times we tell them. All the miracles happened just as I predicted.
  23. Looking forward to the photo.
  24. https://youtube.com/shorts/nzrVYmVmftU?si=U9cfQPzFfIDk92c3 Here you go mate. Some dogs will clamp their teeth shut. You than have to prise the mouth open and shove the pill as far back down the throat as you can .The dog then has no choice but to swallow. Especially if you hold the head up and stroke its throat.
