Ref should never have let him fight on after the first knockdown. Frank Warren was interviewed today and was raging about the standard of British refereeing after the Catterall decision. Made the point that Football referees get downgraded if they are poor. But nothing happens to boxing judges if they fiddle the results. He also said he would not have British judges officiating on the Fury Whyte fight. He insisted on foreign judges. Poor state of affairs..

Just been listening to Frank Warren. Whyte is trying to renegotiate his contract. He's sulking because he's only getting a fraction of the payout Fury is getting. But thats the way it works. Thick dickhead.

Fury has never really fought anybody who is anywhere near world class imo. Wilder is a cruiserweight who will deliver freakish, windmill punches if his opponent stands off him. Whyte is 5/1. He's a helluva lump. An upset is always a possibility in the heavyweights. Sooner Fury is retired and off the scene, then we might get some dignity back into the sport. I don't think his mouthing, attention seeking and clowning has been good for boxing.

Boxing and football were the traditional ways out of poverty. Although they still are, the waters have become muddied. Some great talents in both sports get overlooked for whatever reason. Just seen that the BBC is going to investigate the scoring of the Taylor /Catterall fight. The problem is it does not have the power to overturn the decision. So paper tiger then.

I always enjoy the underdog upsetting the big name. Catterill won 8 rounds imo.

Messrs Kell Brook, Tim Bradley, Carl Frampton, Barry Jones Johnny Nelson all think Catteriĺl was robbed. Think of all the guys who had money on Caterill at 17/2. They were robbed too.

The fight was in Glasgow. Taylor is a scot. Even when all the commentators were saying Catterill had it sown up, he'd walked it,I was thinking I won't believe it until I hear the decision. Sure enough they gave it to Taylor for political reasons. Absolute and utter disgrace. feel for Catterill. It was the mother and father of a corrupt, sleazy decision.

Blatant home fighter corruption. The guy was robbed. Boxing is sounding its own death knell if it continues like this. What's the point of dedicating your life to the sport and then getting shat on by corrupt judges ?

Yes. It's the end of legal ferreting or lamping for rabbits in Scotland. Absolute disaster not just for us in Scotland but for field sports in general. It's another brick in the wall.

Went for a pub lunch with my Mrs today. We were picketed by a ferociously angry, fat arsed, tweedy type, middle aged woman who stood in our way of the pub door. She reckoned we should boycott the pub because they do not cater for people with coeliac disease.....people who are intolerant to gluten.
