  1. Gove was an absolutely terrible Education Secretary, he set the profession back years. In all fairness there is no such thing as a good education secretary, they all want to tinker around with kids education for political headlines. Agreed. However, as a teacher I can tell you that Gove was shocking.

  3. The one I'm referring to is the line of Syrian migrants winding their way through Slovenia. Not one white face among them.
  4. Traitor is a bit harsh! Honestly... I'm undecided. A good friend is of Indian descent. His parents came over in the 70's with nothing. They both worked hard to build a life and raise three children. The one is a mechanic, another a solicitor and my good friend is a neurosurgeon. So I'm slightly uncomfortable with some aspects of the immigration argument. Farage's latest advert is edging more towards racist than concerned about immigration. I've been shocked by some of the comments on THL over the past week or so and whereas I was edging towards 'leave' if some of the comments on here
  5. As a teacher myself I can say that's a great homework!
  6. What do those Hobart mincers usually cost?
  7. then why should merkel be any different to adolf? They're both trying to take over Europe 1 by force the other by money but still the same end goalWhat...?Did I mention merkel,,,,and I thinks there's a world of difrence,,,between the two ,,,one wanted to wipe out anything not white in there country ,,,the second wants to welcome anything none white,,,, Not your best comparason... it was in reply to do you think Europe would have been a better place with hitler? Look at how great it is under merkels rule, at least with adolf it would have been white. The Germans seem to have it in their DN
  8. Or maybe this country and Germany would be a much better place...... I don't think so! Don't be so sure..... Surely this is a Sunday morning wind up?
  9. Something I've just been sent. Worth a read if you're undecided on which way to vote or feel that the THL is a little one sided in it's views... http://d3n8a8pro7vhmx.cloudfront.net/labourclp90/mailings/7/attachments/original/EU_Newsletter.pdf?1466065246 Ps... Before I get slated, I'm just trying to ensure that I'm as informed as I can be.

  11. The only way to rear pups. Great stuff.
  12. The first part of your list get a vote, so why should we give a flying feck what they think ? Of the rest, they get one vote each each......the same as us ! Just to be clear, this is not my list, it's a repost of something I've read elsewhere. I have spent a huge amount of time deliberating and looking at the views proposed by both sides and I'm still to decide on where my vote is going.
  13. Some food for thought that I saw on Facebook earlier. Not saying I agree but it does make you think... A good friend of mine came up with a great idea. If you don't have the time/inclination to find out all the facts about the EU referendum (I don't blame you) and are possibly unsure which way to vote, perhaps knowing how other notable people are thinking could help out. Here are a few that strongly believe the UK should remain a member of the EU: Governor of the Bank of England International Monetary Fund Institute for Fiscal Studies Confederation of British Industry Lead
  14. I could well be the only THL user who's still undecided about how to vote. I've heard compelling arguments for both sides and I'll continue to weigh things up. I do worry about the impact on the economy and I don't have faith in those leading the Brexit camp. Farage, Boris and Gove are not people that I have much trust in. Not that those on the other side are any better mind...
  15. I haven't seen any posts where people have tried to defend the Islamic faith. Why would they have to. The cnut that done this wasn't representing muslims..., he claimed to be representing an organisation (ISIS) that's killed far more muslims than it's killed all other faiths put together. And no-one has tried to defend the killer, or ISIS. Equally I don't hear anyone lamenting the death of thousands of innocent men, women & children to the same terrorist organisation in countries who don't want them there..., and who don't even consider ISIS to be muslims. It's also looking like he ac
  16. Some good points raised Max but there are some issues I can't quite get my head around. One of the big issues for the 'out' campaign is immigration. However, having had to spend far too much time in hospital in recent years it's clear to me that without immigration the NHS couldn't run. I live on the Monmouthshire Herefordshire border and without immigration agriculture would suffer hugely here... The fruit and veg would not get picked. Would leaving the EU result in problems for our NHS and agriculture sector? I genuinely don't know and I'm undecided which way to vote. However, the unkno
  17. I'm still concerned about the economy. Most business leaders and economists say that leaving would be a disaster financially.
  18. What have you got Ken or is it too soon to look?
