  1. Got to be careful with spalting though, will continue to spread and weaken the forks unless stabilised, saw a post on the slingshot forum about it
  2. I've got a hunting catty for £15 posted mate. Banded and ready to go. Take a look in the miscellaneous section
  3. Use a stanley knife and sellotape. Best way i think
  4. Make sure they are seated properly. Flat side against the pouch bottom. Need to have a supple pouch really
  5. £18 now Need gone. Coming to end of season for most, ideal time to get one and get some practice in
  6. Think its a trip to the vets tommorow, toes gone really warm to the touch. Will keep you all updated
  7. Split the catties youve cut in half, put them in a clamp half clamped half not, using the clamp jaws as a guide saw them in two and sand them flat. Thats what i did to the bamboo catty to get the thickness i wanted
  8. Season over for me. Went to take her out this morning and noticed her middle toe on her right had swollen up, took her out anyway then got in and soaked it in some Epsom salt water and brushed it clean. Then soaked it in some aviary birds disinfectant stuff off a mate. See how it goes, I think she's banged it because she hasnt been flown for a few days so don't think anything has gotten stuck inside like a thorn. I doubt its first stages of bumblefoot either because its literally came up over night and there's no reddening or other tell tale signs
  9. You get hand slap through bands being too heavy for ammo. I've only ever hit my hand with stones, better switching to round ammo.
  10. 18mm multiplex 1 on the left is an offset TTF, best way for top accuracy IMO. Nice light band set but still perfect for hunting On the right is a chunky milbro mk1 with slightly stronger band set Both finished with oil which has worked fantastic. £20 posted If you buy the TTF I will need to know the hand you hold the catty in so I can put the bands on.
  11. Yep same here, seasons been long enough now, need a break and get some fishing done. Gonna fly her till next weekend, finish on a kill and leave her be until the start of next season.
  12. Not shot this one mate but ive shot the same design without the palmswell and they shot sweet. Not gonna make them all the time just too much work but now the seasons almost over i will be making a few special ones
  13. 12.5 cm in length Outside fork width is 9cm Inside is 4.5cm
  14. Wellies come first lol http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/337676-one-off-hunting-catapult/?do=findComment&comment=3864754
  15. Aha no sorry. I dont want to sell it realy but i need some more wellies and this will go to them nicely. Think £35 is fair for the amount of time it took. Dont want to be greedy lol
  16. They get their hydration water from the meat mate.
  17. Sad to see it go with the amount of work i put into this one but needs must. -One off bamboo faced pocket poacher super grip palmswell -universal tips so the bands can go over the top or on the sides. -multiplex core for strength -handmade by myself - the grips made to fill the web of your hand to prevent wrist strain and give top stability -double hunting bandset For the amount of work into it I think £35 posted is a fair price
