ive just got into the greyhound game,got 2 young dogs,just in the middle of schooling one of them at the moment,im really enjoying it aswell,they are a different ball game to lurchers tho,you need to keep them wrapped up in cotton wool,they are finely tuned machines and thats how they have to be kept,i dont know why you need a lot of money tho,yes they do cost a lot to buy,but thats about it. which part ou southern ireland are you from frank,i have a lot of family over there in wexford

you out cross the pure saluki's in this country because the last time i checked we were not in the desert with miles and miles of open land,we cross them to add a bit more speed,and give lurchers and greyhounds a lot more stamina,if they are that bad why do we see them sell for thousands,between coursing men.

while lamping one night we counted over 40 in two fields,i kid you not,the ground was very very stoney,fields like concrete

dont run them doubled up unless you have to catch them for the farmers sake or for food,doubling up is just loosing respect for your quarry,they are not hare dogs,but like any other dog they will catch them from time to time

keep at it mate,my best bitch was a very very slow starter on the lamp,a lot of people would have given up with her,i stuck at it and now she is as good as any if not better tham most,GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT,good luck

why would you want to trim her tail,its a working dog not a show dog
