It would depend what I was looking to achieve but if I wanted to breed a line of faster type lurchers I would use both, I would use the coursing bred dog to maintain agility and strike and the grey to maintain the underlying physicality, leg turnover etc. The coursing bred dog wouldn't have the genetic stability to ensure these traits are passed down to enough offspring over a number of generations whereas the judicious addition of the greyhound influence would help to stabilise that side of things. Cutting the risk of non-doers in a litter is important to owners that only have one or two dogs

i've never bred a dog let alone a lurcher or greyhound,but isn't putting greyhound back in the line over and over again just putting the same faults back into the line every time? whereas if you bred best to best you could lock in the traits you want over time.

didnt know they'd done away with CRB,you might need an enhanced one to work with under 16's. that'll be anything including cautions you've ever had. i've only ever got mine through work sorry,maybe call Citizens advice or even the job centre if you can't find what you need online.

i only train for sport,like you i noticed a bit off a drop off with strength at first,but i read an article he wrote about upping the protein in such a way that it encourages you to metabolise the amino acids. i tried that plan and my strength has steadily increased,feck knows if i actually do metabolise the amino acids better now,but % wise i eat a lot more protein and if anything have more energy. i think you are right though in that this generally isn't good for strength athletes or bodybuilders.

The fasting type diets work because on average you achieve a calorie deficit as the periods of binging are physically limiting, you just can't over eat this way. The 5:2 diet is a good example, the studies have shown that on the 5 feasting days people didn't eat more than 110% what they would in a normal day. my lurcher needed a lot of stitches recently,particularly inside his back leg where the muscle was also punctured quite deep. the vet sewed them all up,leaving no drain,i asked but they said it makes the infection risk too high,a couple of days later i was back because as i suspected would happen,his back leg that was stitched had filled with fluid under the stitches. they drained a bit with a needle and said its normal and would be gone in a day or two,it didn't,next thing the stitches have split open and got infected (which at least let the fluid drain out) and i'm back in again gett

QB imo a lot of the people pushing for this take pleasure in annoying people with your type of religious belief. a better argument than trying to convert people would be talking about your right follow your religion and its rules without state interference.
