    The sweet spot on the S410 should be 180bar down to 110bar i think giving you approx 70 full power shots. Fill to 180bar and then do a full chrono string and that'll give you a better idea if where you stand with it Do your string with a heavy pellet as that will give you your highest FPE reading

    Are you talking about taking a R10 from sub 12 to FAC? If so then the general consensus is that you'd be better off buying a dedicated FAC rifle You should join the BSAOG...loads of info on all things BSA

    As above. My mk3m is picking my 3 collars up ok but at 1 foot away the locator is showing 2 foot...4 foot away it's showing 8 foot and so on. Is it needing calibrating? If so, anyone know how to do it? Thanks

    Haha...my 2 can be like that. They just get a bit over excited and can get a bit too close to the holes when ferreting as they want to see the action. I've continually got to tell them to stay back and shut up

    Cheers guys. It's been a bit up and down with the kids with regards to the hunting. My wee fella loved it at 1st, then lost interest as he didn't like all the walking but after Fri he loves it again. It really made a huge difference to him taking him to a perm that has lots of rabbits on it instead of taking him out locally where there's not many and you have to cover a lot of ground to get a rabbit or 2. My daughter is a bit of an enigma when it comes to hunting. She wants to be a vet and loves all animals. She's only 12 and i've just got her a wee job working with horses at the weeke

    Went to a new permission yesterday with the above and the kids. We started the day with a wee bit of ferreting, doing 3 holer along a fence line out in a field so it was the perfect opportunity for the young whippet to get a wee run. 1 hole was on 1 side and 2 on the other side of the fence. Threw the stinker down and moments later the rumbling started followed by the 1st bolt. Typically the whippet was on the other side of the fence and didn't see it so we missed that 1.     If they're half decent at all mate they'll offer to fix it or give you a refund...on the other hand...it is a 2nd hand rifle and he could easily say that it was fine when it left the shop and that you've had a day to mess about with it. Best thing is be cool and just camly put your point across. If it does go tits up i would tell him you had a mate chrono it and it went over so therefor he sold you an overpowered rifle. I've done it with a mates rifle and the RFD's arse collapsed and he gave a full refund on the spot. The rifle was over at 15.3FPE mind you

    Just 1 more thing...take a note of the FPS as it shows inconsistency better than FPE

    If it's grouping like a shotty then there's something seriously not right somewhere. I wouldn't think it would be a pellet problem as you would be able to get better even with poorly matched pellet. You could buy every pellet under the sun and still not get there if it's a problem with the rifle. How many shots did he fire over the chrono? I would do a string 1st to check for consistency. If the power is up and down then this could cause such inconsistency. I wouldn't mess about with it if it's as bad as that. Take it back and get him to do a 20 shot string over the chrono
