I don't keep pheasants anymore, now i keep chickens in the middle of a shoot so the next pheasants nest I find is getting filled with chicken eggs, bout time the hens got their revenge Gnipper

Its more commonly known as skulking I think. Try handling it loads at home and then give it a try, you've got all summer for handling If that don't work you can either keep dragging it out with a dead rabbit or give it someone as a pet. Gnipper

A lad i work with got one off him for a pet Without work it turned into a monster, he's had its balls off to try and calm it but no joy there

All the aforementioned breeds will do the work you want to do, just pick whichever one you like the look of the most and don't rush it too young, train it and treat it well and you'll go far.

Live catch wouldn't really work round here mate, well they would but only till some little shit nicks it or stamps on it . If i can find a way of hiding it or lofting it even i might try the one i made as it was free. Still waiting for a stoat though on my ditch tunnel, i'll get one there though coz i often see stoats there. Does pissing them on the trap really help? I would have thought that when they dump their stink gland when caught would be enough?.
