Get yourself down your local tips and stuff mate or just walk the ditches. If you keep your head down and its just you walking the dogs you'll be ok. I've got a few places but none good enough to take anyone on an invite at the mo but i'm asking around, if I find anywhere decent i'll give you a shout. Looking good there mate, i've got a pup similar age off the breeder of your pups dam and he is mad keen for them. Out a few times a week at the mo doing the ditches and a farm i've got locally and getting a few but we need somewhere thats moving with them.

Brilliant pics there mate, is there water near the hole? It doesn't look like there is thats all and i've never found a litter far from water, normally on ditch banks.

I walked my old dog through a wood my mate had been ferreting last year and he said he couldn't find any even though the holes looked good and the dog marked all the shitty ones full of leaves to my mates surprise. The holes that look the best never seem that productive round here.

The only thing they are any good at is biting and yapping, when I was a kid every old woman round here had one or two that were like footballs with legs and teeth. My russel pup is shaping into a good little ratter at only 8 month old and with a bit more experience he may turn out very good , he's got a good nose and is very keen but he'll never beat my lurcher to a rat (digs like a JCB and will plough through anything to catch one).

No, your right there are some mercenary people about a fe wyears ago my brother bought a shotgun from a bloke, we were chatting (this was may time) he asked what we do soe my brother was saying he had a lurcher a couple of terriers and ferrets......the bloke says i do a bit of ferreting........but your keen keeping ferrets through the summer, he simply killed them come spring and bought new ones august time i said my piece and left the bloke was a twat One of the female members off here wrote that she couldn't be arsed keeping the stinking things through the summer so just gets rid and

I know a place near Preston but to be honest with you they are shite for ferret food. Its an egg with fluff on at the end of the day and eggs aren't a good food source either.

I know mate, i've been at the maggies for a few weeks now but they aren't very territorial yet, only catching the odd one. My mate had his trap in what i'd class as a crap place and he's had about 24 to my 5/6 and he's had 2 cats and a tawny which were released unharmed . The maggies at work are pairing up now though. My old dog just did this, didn't see him do it so don't know how he acted and he seems ok in himself, it was only a few hours ago I was saying how he's only been the vets once in 11 years for something other than an innoculation, wish I hadn't now Any ideas what it could be? Cheers in advance

Shrimps warmed up in a pan with butter then stuck on a piece of warburtons medium white thats been buttered too I could eat them till i'm sick, only problem is I eat half of em while i'm shilling them
