A lot of my family used to live off the coast and marshland and an old great uncle of mine says the best gundog he ever saw out on the marshes was a standard poodle so there must be some gooduns around and not just kc fecked up monstrosities.

I've had him the vets again today coz it had got worse and he got a different stronger jab and 2 different types of tabs, one of which is baytril.

It started off as just a bit of a lump in his eyebrow that looked strange less than a week ago and I just assumed he might have scratched it bushing or something, then it got worse and I spotted another small one near his mouth. I've had him the vets who said it could be an insect bite/sting that he's been scratching (i'm not sure though due to the one near his mouth which was a lot bigger when the vet pulled the scab off) or possibly a bit of wet eczema but i'm getting worried now coz it looks like the skin is fecked and it keeps opening up and bleeding. The vet gave him a 2 week anti biotic

Top man for buying that lad a dog they will keep each other busy , if my parents weren't such arseholes they could have saved themselves and me a whole heap of shit letting me get a dog instead of getting in trouble, my old boy (I bought at 16) I had pts earlier this year probably stopped me getting locked up. Let your missus pick the dog she likes that way it will get attention while your at work and then you get to take it out. Regardless of what breed it is most dogs will do what you want and mark a hole.

Try ringing it then??? If the seller was to ring or text everyone who sends him texts after his numbers been on here then he'll still be out of pocket after he's sold the dog.

Just went out for some ferret food and spotted this bugger, its normally a waste of time squeaking as they are wise round here but this one was different. At first I thought he was legging it but no he was looking for the bridge to cross the big drain (I hadn't realised he was on the other side :blush-anim-cl: ) and he came in slowly but surely to about yards and no further so I took the shot :laughbounce2:

Funny you should say that mate, i had him out for the first time last tuesday when i'd put a couple of extrs holes in the ferret collar lol. He worked his little heart out and he's a pleasure to handle Pleased to hear he did ok mate, he is a tiddler isn't he. His dads on the smallest hole on the collars and I think your silver may be a touch smaller. Did you ever get a pic of him with one of your big hobs? Cheers, gnipper

Thanks for the pm I never said you were breeding for money just that I doubt the pups would be much in demand. If the bitch was a brilliant bushing/ferreting dog from decent working lines and the whippet used was a good dog too then they might be ok for ferreting but then they might all be little 14/15" things that couldn't catch a runnng rabbit and will yap like feck when chasing too so it would be a massive gamble. Who do I think I am? I'm somebody thats not seen a post by you about actual hunting, just ones where your getting rid of dogs or have got rid of dogs and another special one

The only problem with a bigger mesh is the little sods will stick their paws through clawing at your bait, imo 2x3 is getting a bit too big. They reckon if a cat can get its head through the rest will follow and not all moggies are big tom sized are they.

Don't do it! If the parents were proven working dogs and there was people who definitely wanted a pup then fair enough but not just for the sake of it, if you just want to breed her then you'd be as well using a russel dog and selling the pups to pet homes.

Ferret/Polecats balls are only visible when they're in breeding season (unlike dogs), this time of the year the balls are retracting into the body. If it was that bad tempered I would say it wasn't a feral either so go smack yourself on the wrist
