    No body but one has mentioned that wellies are just no good for brambles or thorny harsh cover (I have had most). Leather boots are the only way to go unless someone can prove me wrong.

    I have used electric fence and the bottom wire is not electrified. Saying that you still have to have very flat ground to get them to not short out to the ground, but they still give a wack even if shorted to the ground. I do not use it now because the foxes were jumping it and nicking my chickens, 20 in all. So I got my self a HMR and a Bull Greyhound, no not really the best way to stop the foxes is to enclose you chucks and this is what I have done. Good luck.     Thing is I would love to tell people on here straight, but all you would be doing is taking the piss all the time. Occasionally I tell people how it is, but because they post so stupidly it sounds like I am taking the piss and usually am.     I went to Sparsholt many years ago it was quite good, they have a bar and the food was shite. I did learn a fair bit and met some good friends who I still see to this day although they live 65 miles away, they have loads of permission and lots of Roe . Good luck

    no sign of pebble yet but had about 8 meals since and 16 shites so fingers crossed - cheers lads. Have you been sifting through its poop then? My dog swallows whole chicken legs and I often see them in it poop minus the meat, so a small pebble shouldn't be a problem. As said, if it stops eating get it down the vets.
