  1. Has it a good coat and can it still catch rabbits?
  2. 12mm lead balls have got to be the most effective. They may still have moulds on Fleabay, try lead moulds in the fishing bit.
  3. It's a cross yes but it has been bred and line bred to create a true type unlike the "have a go dog breeder" that crosses two dogs because they think it sounds good. And Bird I'm not looking for a dog yet, "good GSD" are few and far between and not all of us like that type of dog. I certainly like the laid back nature of a mastiff type, but not those big dribbly lazy types.
  4. It is a recreation of an old breed, bred for type and temperament. Got mine as an unwanted pup nice and cheap as said a great dog. 'recreated' like the present day Irish wolf Hound? What would you use it for? He is used as a family dog, yard dog and pretty much any thing I ask of him. You can't really play fight around him as you are likely to have your clothes ripped as some of my nephews have found out over the years.

  6. I'll give you £27 cash for ya book.
  7. Cor that's fecking hilarious. Can't wait to try it. Why have I never seen that . There must be a catch?
  8. Old thread but I still have one of the first attempts of these dogs. He is nearly ten and has been an excellent dog. The father was a small high energy working Rottie and the mother was a Presa x Bull terrier about 80lb. He has been one of the best dogs I've owned. He is approx 95-100lb 25-26tts, black and fearless. He is also pretty safe around other dogs.
  9. do a search for slat mill in the for sale section, there is a man (KevO) that is doing new ones at a good price.
  10. Diet maybe. What was she eating before the vet said Iams?
  11. Alpaca's an expensive pointless pet. Sheep, chicken and pigs are fairly simple and rewarding. Vegetables are good for you , plant some fruit trees and make sure you plan things properly. Are you looking to earn money or fill your belly?
  12. The best one that available. What I will say and I say this to anyone looking to get a working dog, don't limit yourself to a specific cross. Have an open mind about breed and look for the best that comes along .
  13. What you need is a strong ring piece, because if you get pulled you'll be doing porridge .
  14. I take it they are both dogs? And you mean "they fight when you are there." They fight when you are there because they are getting excited and they are competing for your attention etc. And two dogs kenneled together is never a good idea.
  15. I have two Mastiff types mostly Presa and they are very steady. I have them around the public running free and one has had a fair bit of personal protection training including agitation training. I decided the agitation training was a bit much as I wasn't really using the dog in that way but it was good to see the dogs capability. I must say the Presas have been pretty steady around people, but these dogs have been reared that way. I think with most dogs you need to find a dog and breeder that knows their stuff, take some advice and go from there. Not all Presa's are the same.
  16. 50-30 euro's for an adult dog in good nick? sounds like it was, nicked.
