  4. i think we missing out on one thing .................... What about the dog ?. Surely they deserve the down time of the summer .my dogs do enough RABBITING during the winter to deserve a rest. it's too hot and too dry to ask a dog to push it self to the limit. why run the risk of injury especially to a young dog it's so easy to cause lasting damage to an underdeveloped pup If i just take my dogs for a stroll at this time of year there panting like good uns. as for keeping the dogs fit there are many less damaging ways. lure machines, a bike, a pair of trainers or even a tread mill.

  8. going to watch a pack hunt is completely different to hunting hounds yourself . you've got your mind made up by the sounds of things so i'm not trying to discourage you only state the facts for anyone else that wants to hold the horn. fox hounds ( English i think you mean) have be breed to hunt hounds on horse back and hunts for miles and miles. you need a lot of guns to cover big wood even small pieces depending on the shape. if one of the guns miss your on your bike and a good hound is hard to stop on a good scenting day. unless your fit as a fiddle and can out run a horse your in a spo
