Over in Ireland last season watched a few young lads hunting hounds.If you cannot see them you wouldn't know they where there,I can only presume this is a trend coming from England , No noise no urging on.Something missing as far as I'm concerned,Wouldn't want to whip to lads like that. i suppose it boils down to individual style i think some believe that the best huntsmen do so in a quite fashion. that would make my next question. Do vocal huntsmen get more out of there hounds than quite one's? from what i've picked up there are times when hounds need encouragement and then th

good work I like . i'm missing a family bbq but it's all about priorities . I know what your saying when it comes to ponds mate. a river has so many more things to think about there could be anything out there to go at.

have you had a bad experience TC ? When I was a kid nearly every farm that had cattle had a bloody corgi to work them, they would run in behind the cattle and nip their heels, before the cow could kick back they would lay flat to the floor and the cows kick would sail over their head. Every one of them Pembrokes and Cardi's would have your heel and would be impossible to kick, B*****d things, would not trust them as far as I could thow one. TC the clever little buggers. don't see any around my way but i'm glad by the sound of it

drove past a few times . it think a know the strecht but never fished it .i've fished the belmont and then my old favourite. I should really branch out a bit more but were I go I might only bump in to one other angler a season and thats how I like sometimes. i'm a big fan of the pva mate makes for good accurate baiting with even better presentation love it. any one else use pva on the rivers? I know what you mean about the welsh gf too mate . it's hard work trying to do both. i went last year because the weather and the river being in flood.

i suppose i'm stuck in my ways but i love halibut pellet and pepperami . It seems to work well enough . i have tried a few bollies but I always go back to the old faithful.
