    Totally understand mate, I don’t have that luxury although come March April he will bump into roe ( I’ll just have to try n stop him ?).

    I’ve decided ( right or wrong) to have him out with me from day one and let him pick it up as we go. He won’t be overtaxed but he will see stuff. He runs through a wood as fast as he does in a field, Jumps the dykes and ain’t afraid of water. he picked a pheasant in deep bramble last night which did impress me. I’ll know when to put a hold on him. He will gain a lot of experience by being out with me , I know a lot of people hold dogs back and I can understand why but that’s not for me.

    This one has bonded with my daughter, she spend a lot of time with him ( dressing him up ect ?) but soon as I put my boots on he’s up and ready to go. He hunts and marks like a dog much older than he is. I’m happy with the way things are going atm.

    I’ve seen the pic of what he eats .. very nice. He has thrown to the saluki , I liked the look of him when we went up for mine. This lad gets a walk 1st thing and eats 1 kg of beef when we get back then he eats what he wants all day (The dish is always full, Eukanuba ) then after his night walk he will eat another kg of beef before going in the crate for the night.
