  4. I think David James should of charged for the idea because with the amount of people that has made a pair from that video he would be a rich man. I also made me own sets, I made a high set for when I go walking in the wood also a shorter pair for when i'm sat under a tree.
  5. Right, after saying that before going on the permission again I had to have a risk assessment, got an "invite" to go to head office for an informal chat. Well my back-end was gripping cloth I can tell you. What to wear? Didn't want to go suited and booted as the saying goes and didn't want to go camo'd up Rambo style, so chose to go on smart side of casual. Well turned up at Head Office to be met by the man I get permission off, who then went on to introduce me to "the area manager" and "the H&S officer", formalities over and done with. Can I get you a cup of tea, coffee or may even be ab
  6. Thank you guys for some good information.
  7. I have been informed that before I go shooting on one of my permissions again, that their insurance wants to carry-out a Risk Assessment. I have explained that I carry my own insurance but they still insist on doing a Risk Assessment themselves. First question, What the heck is one. Second question, What takes place, what do they do? Third question, Should I be worried? Thank you Roger
  8. Go onto E-Bay and search for "TUF CLOTH", or search the on-line gun shops. You have a choice when you buy it, you can have a plastic bag or plastic jar. I have the plastic jar and after every time that I touch or use the gun I give it a two second wipe over, but if I have been out in the rain I remove gun from stock then wipe both parts over fully.
  9. Good on the boy. My son was and is not interested in anything but computer beat "um ups.
  10. As i'm right handed, would you be prepared to take my left arm as payment lol. I'm with "porkybella" wish I had funds. Good luck in selling it, we seem to be going through a spell of shooters loosing permissions.

  18. Adam if you go the bottle route and want it refilled the Otmoor Guns in Deddington refill, or failing that has Banbury got a dive shop. Hope it a help mate.
  19. Darryl very good indeed, the first one is a cracker of a photo. The last two are of the same subject but how did you get the two different seas?

  21. Thank you guys for your comments, I count myself very lucky.
  22. So woke up this morning and needed a hunting fix so checked the diary, nothing doing and the correct security guard was working. One of my permissions has 24hr guard and are in a position that they can overlook part of my shooting area, and surprise surprise not all are for shooting. So I have to not only worry over the weather but I also have to worry over which sensitive security guard is working, at time it seems like it might be easier to align the planets. So all the planets are aligned for a trip. Sandwich made, flasks filled, thermals on, camo's on so were off on the 12 miles drive
