BigMac i was going to ask what was that climbing frame, but i got beat to it. I was going to compliment on your shooting, but i have been beaten to that. I was going to compliment you on your writing, but i got beat to that as well. So before anybody beats me too it can i please compliment you on your permission and your good looks (in a manly way you understand lol ). Tim alone in a field i find very therapeutic, i have time to think things through without distractions. I often don't care about shooting, i love course fishing and often just sit on the bank not fishing just thinking. I f

Will333 my brother-in-law is a butcher here in Oxford and i have spoken to him about buying some (if i ever get enough), he said that he is getting more and more people asking if he has got or can he get then. He and i think that the harder it is made for people to feed their family then people will go for the cheaper cut. If you have that many wabbits why not offer them to your family or even some older people (old enough to have been around during the war) because they will be used to eating cheaper and different meats. If you have lots of spare go around you to any old folk and offer them f

My Shooting Has Improved Loads.
porkycrook replied to porkycrook's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
This family is made up from people that rival any motorcycle gang. They talk about "brotherhood" well they should try this forum. I have worked in the garage trade for most of my working life some nearly 50 years, yet i am so priveliged to have better friends in people that i have known for may be two years. I (MAN) love you. -
My Shooting Has Improved Loads.

Aaron you should try it if you have a chrono handy, it really does take out shooter error. The changes the other figures give are what i know believe is just when doing maths at school, the calculation (sum) you have is correct part way through the sum but you get the calculation towards the end goes amiss. Ghillies, it's not just in my head. When i used to miss long range (40 mtrs and beyond) i always thought that it was me and my twitches. But it has given tighter and correct figures for distant targets, when you start seeing target falling that you used to miss you know something you ha -

This is the third time of trying to write this but the last two i just rambled so here goes the concise version. My Air Arms s410 carbine was kindly set-up (a while ago now) by Davyt63 and Zini, two people that i am proud to call my friends. The reason i asked them to set-up my gun was that due to my medication (morphine based) for a bad back i twitch all the time. So i was never sure if my gun was set to be accurate as it could be, were my misses down to gun or me. I didn't mind missing but i hated the idea that i may injure my quarry, which is why at that time i was only "plinking" trying to

Darryl I know I only took about two photo's and a few video clips. I know that both Davy and Si wanted to have just a relaxed meet and not have to worry about filming. And what happened with your gun? -

HUFF, not one person has complimented the brilliant un-biased judge, the judge made the extremely hard job so easy. It was bad enough that you erected a cover to protect the poor old hard done by shooters, we cant let them lay down for a while in the sun. NO but the brilliant un-biased judge can sit out in the burning sun all day, he's a real man never once drawing attention to his plight. Just goes to show how true the old sayings are, the fact that he is one of the "HARD SOUTHERNERS". You just should thank your lucky stars that he wasn't one of the "Northern flat cap and whippet brigade", -

Got home about an hour ago from the weekends meet from Turton Towers, no you need not worry that I may be socializing above my class. But no I have been to a fantastic weekend with some real true friends and to all of them I have to give my apologies for again I have not been able to add much to the weekend, apart from the sausages and chops. So sorry that I could not do more but you never learn, if you book the next meet can you please find somewhere that has flat level well manicured lawns. Then I may go for the full weekend and not have to cry off for some of it lol. I have a few person -

Daz were you never taught never to point a gun at anybody, even if its unloaded. This is your final warning, then next time it happens you will leave me no option but to take your guns off you and slap the back of your legs -
Right then ladies and gentlemen this is aimed at the members that are going to the meet, to go along side the books that I have given to Davy I have had a dig in my shooting box and I have found some other things that could find a new home if I can get the items up to the meet. First if you have seen the quick twist cable clamp that fit onto scope zooms well I have 7, they cost me £3.99 per pair so they will cost you £1.50 each. Next I have a new tin (full) of Air Arms Diabolo Hunter .22 (5.52 & 1.037g), next is a full tin of JSB exact jumbo heavy diabolo .22 (5.52 & 18.3g), next i

With all this childish play in some ways I am glad not be dragged into it . Wurz are you taking your kit to tattoo the loser's arse?. Rather than seeing the losers arse for real I would be happy with just a photograph. -
Restoring The Daystate
porkycrook replied to AR177's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Thoroughly good write-up and job Adam . For my bit I prefer to see wood (before any dirty mind thinks that I like looking at a woody ) or should I say I like to see timber. Although I think that you took it a bit far when you had your dog dipped to look like walnut . I like the black pen to the chequering really makes it stand out. It's a shame that I wont be at next weekends do as its been a long while since I seen you and the gang, although I see a couple at Si's wedding. Stay safe and keep well mate. Regards Roger -
Daystate Huntsman Mk1 Stock (Born 1988 )
porkycrook replied to mhopton's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Just a thought, what about removing the butt pad then drill out some of the stock leaving the butt plate mountings alone. Your other option is to cut the stock about to make it a skeleton stock. That is all I can think of apart from making a stock out of lighter (in weight) wood. What and which ever path you follow I wish you the best and please let us know what way you went. -
Nice shooting young'un lovely clean shot.

Miles Johannesburg's Fantasy Life And Lies Exposed
porkycrook replied to zini's topic in General Airgun Discussion
I was one of the "taken in by him". I have always made my own choices in who I like and who I don't, and I must say now that when I got into this hobby I used to read his "diary" from the woods. Unknown to me the fact that he had not got any permission to live there, what I took for a man trying to turn back time and live and feed his family off the land he was in fact a squatter. Alright he had a way of trying to belittle others with big words which was above me and I was taken in by his lies, often thinking and even talking to my wife about "this young man trying to live off the land and bri -
