Brand New To Hunting, Bought My First Air Rifle Today.
porkycrook replied to Aaron Swanson's topic in Airgun Hunting
Aaron first welcome to the forum. The advice you have been given alreadyby forum members is honest and truthful, between them i hate to think of how much experience and knowledge they have. Good luck for the future and don't forget that everytime you get your rifle out you are the face of our sport. -
The juicies still flow through your veins sen-say, your master will be pleased. Your aim is true and honest. You have used your time away to your benefit.

The way you are going with all of theses guns you are buying, when ever and where ever the next meet is to be held. I can see that you are going to need an armed vehicle. Note to the organizers of the mee, think about charging people with multiple guns, Just a thought of a sad poor person, with only one gun

Simple things to Improve your night vision setup
porkycrook replied to zini's topic in Airgun Hunting
You bugger you, i have brought some for you and Davy. I shall have to use them on myself, ear-rings maybe. Got it, i could use it as a real life "Roger rabbit with built in clitoris stimulator", the stimulator is revolvable so as to be effective in any position -
Change your routine, get down wind, keep still and use the lamp as a spotter then turn the light off and then walk slowly to get into range then turn the lamp back on to take the shot.

Tony my daughter has the same symptoms and went to the doctors yesterday and she was told that she was suffering with "Vertigo". Don't do the same thing as me and say "what has the fear of heights got to do with it", but vertigo is an illness, where as the fear of heights is "Acrophobia" there ending lesson one. She was given some tablets named "Prochlorperazine", go to the doctors with a bit of self diagnosis. Hope your better soon mate.

Right then my bunch of clever friends i have a question for you. I am trying to buy a spare battery for my NiteSite NS50 from our favourite site Evil-bay. I have tried to order from two different sellers (obviously from China) but both have given me a full refund stating that due to coming up to New Year and their customs are not allowing batteries to be exported. Can anybody tell me why this is?

Help a newbie.
porkycrook replied to Benn McIntyre's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Benn first thing welcome to the best site for shooting and country sports that i know of. You are making the right noises regarding the caliber choices, you are correct that the 177 has a flatter parabolic curve. Either caliber will indeed kill both rabbits and crows, the caliber choice is yours you will find as many people that will be for or against. Secretagentmole knows more about the subject than me and has put it perfectly.. -

Well what a very special sister i have. I am sat here typing this on my brand new laptop that my wonderful sister has bought for me. I have to report that the old one has gone to the big laptop graveyard because it was gone beyond repair, the man who looked at it said that i was lucky that it had not gone up in flames. So as well as having the best sister in the world, i have some people on here that have also tugged on my heart strings. I have had offers of help from people on here, some i have met and others i have yet to meet. So can i now say a truly heart-felt THANK YOU to one and all (y -
Fitting an adjustable butt pad to a HW97KT
porkycrook replied to zini's topic in General Airgun Discussion
With all these videos that you are doing (or intending to do) that are so helpful to so many shooters. I think that firstly you should put up on this site all of your contact details, then change your name to Dr Dave. Dr Dave will see you now, see it rolls of the tonge. -
I'm the same as "tribeboy" in as much as i watch everyone of your videos, because as i have already told you f2f i find them informative and also by showing me what can be achieved with an air-rifle makes me try harder to be accurate as possible. So a huge cheer goes to the two of you and Si i know why you are doing these video's without Davy, because its impossible to shut him up for recording of these videos lol (sorry Davy my friend). p.s. A personal thankyou goes out to Si and Davy both of you are true true friends, although it has only been a little over a year that i have known y

Oiling stock
porkycrook replied to M47KS_M4N_CH71S's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
When you say "Tacky" do you mean that it is still tacky to the touch or it doesn't look very nice. Well if its the first "Tacky" then i would assume that the oil has not been absorbed, then i would just with a lint-free cloth wipe off the excess. Or if you mean the second "tacky" then i would again with a lint-free carry on applying oil with the cloth until everything is even and fully absorbed. Hope this is a help. -

Well what a way to start off 2013, my bloody laptop has picked the 2nd day of the New Year to come and frazzle. Well if 2012 had not had enough time to stack crap onto my shoulders, it's nearest and dearest has chosen to join the party. So being one of the people that can't get everything paid for by the state, whether it is due to my colour or that i have paid into the system for nearly 40 years. But i struggle through still paying my mortgage, council tax, heating, electricity and the rest of my bills. People think that i should always be this happy smiley chap, but there are times when i th
