  5. Aye Gaz, beautiful rifle with a lovely stock and the scope just put the icing on the cake! should be out after more pigeons on Saturday
  6. just been out first time with mine mate. only got it yesterday but im in love with it! very clear glass, even when shooting in low light and dark, with the ret illuminated its still got perfectly clear picture. unlike my panorama that I couldn't see feck all through when it was dark an the ret was illuminated, even on its lowest setting basically mate I would recommend one. do it. YOLO. cant take it with you when you die NO regrets
  7. got some in .177 there bang on in my 98 . haven't ever weighed any tho lol.
  8. R10 do look nice.. but I have a nice looking hw100 so I don't need an r10 lol. if its a good deal then get it! so what if its .22 .. get used to the trajectory and your sorted. I think I prefer .22 over .177 again.
  9. Ayup peeps Been out for a hour tonight after the longest day ever at work! to zero the new scope on the hw100. got to the farm yard about 10 mins before it got dark, found a big board of wood and set about the task at hand. few shots later it was bang on at 28 yards .. bipod makes it sooo easy!! and there wasn't a breath of wind! scared the cows, and a cheeky fox aswel when I took the first shot. only took me 8 shots to zero so im sure the cows will forgive me! starting to get dark I got my gear together and set off down to the wood, about 200 yards from the farm yard. to cut a lo
  10. If they did a dedicated left handed stock for the sporter versions of the hw 100 i would get one. But you know im a thumbhole man
  11. Must admit i dont like the look of that blue piston seal lol.
  12. as aaron said. stick loads of targets up at different ranges. zero first at 30 yds ,then aim smack on at the 50 yard target. the pellet will drop and then aim at the target again and see which mildot it has landed on. easier to do with a bipod so its steady as a rock.
  13. NEED 3 more now for my other rifles
  14. I used to de cock or fire into the floor after about 30 mins !! but now I don't see the point. it doesn't harm them to be left cocked for a few hours!
  15. does the blue get in the barrel yeah, what if it clogs up inside.?!
  16. did the tx200 turn out consistent? did you clean the barrel after you reblued it? might have got rust in the barrel.? is the piston and everything all polished decent, or is it rusty inside? seals ok? spring ok? did you degrease everything ?
  17. Got my sidewinder sr pro eventually! well happy with it would be an understatement! now to get out with it at the weekend :)
  18. This is what I do, and it works a treat . if you know where the birds like to sit it helps, dress dark and walk lightly and slowly. don't illuminate the reticule on your scope too high or you wont see frig all through the scope, but if your just using a non illuminated reticule you need to know your aiming at the right spot! make sure you know your aim points for different ELEVATED ranges. this is important to not be injuring birds, especially at night! you can get right under them if your quiet enough lol but your back and neck wont thank you the next day if you take too many of these
  19. Cheers guys. I thought the rifle would have still been zeroed from last time but it was off to the left. Last time i took it out there must have been a strong wind
