  1. ? what was up with the collie cross you had and how much collie was in it
  2. Going off what you’ve seen so far off your bitch do you think the deerhound blood improves the stamina a great deal compared to what you would get from a pure greyhound, genuine question as I’ve never had any experience of deerhound crosses
  3. Shouldn’t soak the biscuits in boiling water because it will kill a lot of vitamins in it, just use warm/hottish water, fill the kettle up but knock it off in about half the time it would take to boil ?
  4. That’s it you need a dog with brains, gears and excels around cover for small land
  5. Sandy would of done a better job, good thow
  6. Nice bitch, it might just be the way she is standing but she has got back legs like scooby do
  7. Good chest on the brindle one, she will have at least 5 mins in the tank
  8. Thanks for the vote of confidence ? I don’t really want them ranging to far I’ve had enough of that with ignorant saluki crosses over the years, from what I’ve seen from these pups so far they seem a lot more intelligent than what I’ve heard people say about greyhounds over the years but time will tell, all I can do is try and give them the best start
  9. Yea but how many are brought up from pups out in the fields learning field craft, about fences going under or over gates going through cover and start running there quarry from a young age, I guess most most people get failed racers at 2 year old or older and then start taking them out that’s why the get injured running into fences ect, most haven’t been left to free run out on the fields before and haven’t learn there trade from a young age, was the one you had an ex racer or you have it from a pup ?
  10. That was an easy bite, I was only messing, I wish you all the best with yours, you must be as mad as me ?
  11. Well bred lurcher, I thought you had a first x deerhound greyhound, I think you need to give your head another shake if that’s what you think a well bred lurcher is ?
  12. I like a challenge lol, just fancied trying something different and see what I can make of it, I’m not really after a world beater anymore just something I can have the odd run with here and there on smallish local land as thefensarefarbutidontgoanymore
  13. Greyhound x Greyhound ?, her sire is a dog called Roxholme nidge what won the East Anglian derby and quiet a few other races, there is some clips of him on YouTube, are you into the greyhounds ?
  14. Must be something wrong with you mate
  15. I got 2 of them because after the first minute when the first one collapses I can slip the second one in, only trouble is I’d have to have about 6 to catch a good hare and that’s cheating ?
  16. just got them for a bit of fun try something different, not expecting to much just have the odd spin local, not bothered how good they are tbh, my halacon days are over ?
  17. I’ll clear up quick sharp as long as the runs don’t last longer than 1 minute, they be alright in the slop as greyhounds are use to running in sand sinking in a bit, I’ll be up next year £200 wager on the first to get to hare off 200 yard slip, £20 bonus for every turn more than 90 degrees and £50 for a go bye
  18. Nasty buggers these greyhound pups when you try and lead train them
  19. This is what you want nowadays lads, couple of track greyhounds brought up as lurchers out in the fields every day, get the job done quick sharp
