Why did you edit out the majority of this post? If you'd be happy with your dog grabbing clothes and losing it's hold whenever the target struggles then ok, as I say we've obviously got different standards. Because its just waffling i didnt say i rated it i said thats what mainly happens true or false ? Doesnt make it a good dog if the dogs doing the job right it shouldnt need to bite unless you come accross that one in ten thousand situation. If yiuve done as much as you say to judge a dog off that video is abit silly true or false ? Dont throw down any silly lingo so people think you must

What are you talking about ? What im saying is for a dog to bite when not bieng presented a target is harder than you think.your calling a dog half hearted have you ever seen a live bite and im not talking about off a screen. You don't think that was a half hearted display? Well ok then, we've obviously got different standards. Yes I have. On more than one occasion.

Obviously it takes a good dog to actually properly engage a real threat but I'd say being too equipment focused is more a problem with the training than the dog itself.
-
Big difference between an equipment focused sport dog and a proper "civil" protection dog though...

That's a good point actually Robert, fitness plays just as big a part as training and natural heart and a lot of folk neglect that aspect when it comes to guard dogs As for the bullmastiff like so many of the mastiff breeds it's been ruined by breeding for size and looks sadly. My old bandog (bullmastiff/APBT/American bulldog) was closer to the old type bullmastiffs than any purebred I've seen. He was around 110lb and fit as anything, you certainly wouldn't have wanted to tussle with him

Think I get you now, you're right you wouldn't want a dog that just mindlessly keeps it's hold while taking punishment but at the same time it needs to know when to shift it's bite and when to hold on and work it. Not like the dog in the video that just had a sloppy half hearted hold from the start!

I wouldn't be impressed if a guard dog of mine put on a display like that. Proper half hearted attack by the bigger of the two and the smaller one just barking on the sidelines like a cur. Got the job done but I'd put that down to the burglar being half hearted and unprepared himself. the smaller dog looks like a pup, i agree with the attack being half hearted Aye watching it again I think you're right. Still it isn't showing great signs, backing up and barking instead of getting stuck in even though it's got the bigger one for back up. Good effort for a couple of pets but I'd want so

A dog that's constantly losing it's hold and not keeping the attacker under control is much more likely to get hurt. Good luck reaching for your screwdriver, aiming it and striking with enough force to do damage while getting ragged about by a 150+lb dog that's determined to kill you. And of course a snappy cur may well just decide to run and hide in it's kennel until the threat has passed...

http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/282035-just-about-sums-up-this-country/The drama starts on page 4. There's been a couple of Walts on here that I remember, one of them still posts even after being called out. Don't they neems? Some of those names ! Whatever happened to Lara Croft and Outlaw Pete ? And the laughs that I'm sure many of us got from the much missed Attack Fell Terrier..... Yep some real THL legends in that thread

Reckon he must be too busy working his world beating poodles to come on here and let us know how he got on
-
Or the bloke with the toy poodles who was going to revolutionise bushing and earthwork He never did come back to show us all how successful he had been
-
see if this works mate, it's the only one I,ve seen that's possibly not a mangy fox though as usual iffy footage That is definitely the most convincing footage of a supposed Thylacine I've ever seen The tail just doesn't look like that of a fox/cat/dog/dingo. Shame it's such a fleeting glance you can't really say anything for certain.

These days they jump straight into the keep net before I've even cast my line properly Some people just can't deal with their echo chamber being invaded

I doubt there's a single country in the world that would let someone in a full face veil through passport control TBH. Even in Dubai they take them into a side room with a female employee to remove their veil and confirm their identity.

Honestly the only way anyone could look at that picture and not instantly recognise it as a ginger moggy eating a pigeon is because they want it to be a "British Big Cat" so much they'll make excuses and ignore what's actually there in front of their eyes.

My last boss in the UK was much like Swiss Toni, complete with breakdown....My last boss in Belgium Marcel was a racist a@sehole hated anybody that wasn't from Belgium and had a flat nose even before I met him. With me it may have been because I was making more money than him, anyway he'll probably be deed now My Swiss Toni was actually going to take me to Canada to renovate his house & Id of gone if I hadn't of been getting married........though some claimed he had a thing for me, but I think I would of took the risk! Haha....Ffs that explains a lot including the photo, your a receiver

Think I remember that footage. Fair to say they're such unique creatures that there'd be no doubt what it was if someone actually got footage of one. Be nice if they were out there still though, a real tragedy that such a fascinating creature was wiped out before we even had a chance to study it properly.

sorry Bgd don't know you but that was funny. Funny and true
