    Bosun, why didn't you take the old bitch out when you realised she was worse off at home? I don't work my dogs as hard as some but imo I would only retire a dog when they don't get out of bed when you are getting ready to go out. My old lurcher was still mooching and ferreting at 14. My Meg is only eight and has shown no signs of slowing down yet.

    Quite normal to find rabbits in kit down south here in Sussex, Devon being warmer and more chance of rabbits with their bellys full of young.

    50% bagging is good, pegs every five or six metres and ideally end pins should have a big enough ring to stop the net passing over when picking up/carrying.

    I would call it a grey whippet with a touch of bull but that's just my opinion. Either way you look at it it's a lurcher so unless you think it 'bigs up' a dog to call it a bull cross why call it anything else?

    Just keep an eye on the weight. Not all dogs/bitches put on weight so don't loose sleep over it. Senicible thing to do if you have dog and bitch together.
