Thanks for putting up this thread Danny...I wasn't sure how to do it. Please read it everyone....I think this is what Irish Lurcher was referring to. IL asked where the cottage was...I answered near Fowley Falls....he then asked whether I caught much....to which I replied that the last time I was at the cottage, my husband wasn't with us, so the only thing I caught was was a wood pigeon, which I shot. IL has since then been asking for photos etc, via the forum and pm. He seems to be a little too interested in me and our dogs and where/ when my husband works. I just don't like it an

We got our bitch pup from Phil, back in 2002....she's a super little bitch, lots of drive and lots of spirit. Phil was a gentleman and we were kept informed, from the mating, right throughout the whelping, until we collected her at 6 weeks.

Have you tried spareroom.com? Don't know how to put up a link, but if you're prepared to lodge out of the centre...maybe north east? You can find a room for a reasonable rent. Remember to check the nearest tube station...you can get pretty much anywhere central within 40 mins or so, by tube.

As soon as his missus tells him to get shut ,It will be another lurcher in the dogs home . till he grows a set of bollax , he deserves fk all. Totally agree with you. What a ridiculous environment to bring a pup in to......a woman who won't even spend 50 pounds on a pup and doesn't want one in the first place?? And a man who puts up with it?? Poor puppy. I agree with asanley....first spot of 'bother' and the pup'll be kicked out.

They look good....plump and happy.

We know a couple of others who have litter mates of Scout and they are very pleased with them too. Two of them went to keepers. Our dog is 26"tts and has a really heavy coat. He looks like a GWP, but is slightly less thick set and much faster.

Oh, they're nice pups. Is the fawn pup a dog and the brindle a bitch? I like them a lot.

We have a 6 year old GWP/ Greyhound cross. He was bred by a chap from Cleator in Cumbria. His Sire is a big GWP and his Dam is 5/8 GWP/3/8 Grey. He is a big strong dog...very, very obedient and incredibly quick to learn. He flushes through any cover...any at all....nothing stops him and he will take foxes single handed during the day (pre ban). He also rabbits and although not quite as fast as the other Lurchers, he can catch them and does regularly.

Totally agree with you. This really annoys and upsets me too. It is the failure of the owner/ parent to manage the situation....we are the adults, the responsible ones, and we should ensure the environment is safe and happy for all concerned. We've owned many dogs over the years and have never passed them on or pts because the situation became difficult. They stay with us until they die.I know there are some genuine cases, but it seems to me that we've become a very 'throw away' society as far as animals are concerned....too often on THL we hear "get rid" or "pts". I really pity some
