  1. Thank you for replying. I joined the site on Boxing Day...I enjoy reading some of the topics and thought it might be fun to join the forum. I haven't joined before. I have no idea who bunny snatcher and the others are, nor do I care. That's it really. Anyway, thanks for replying.
  2. The jury is out at the moment?? And what exactly is it that I am accused of? Disagreeing with FTB? This is utterly ridiculous....you're a moderator Simoman? Don't you think it might have been an idea to do a bit of moderating yesterday when two or three members were being particularly crude?? Just my opinion.
  3. Can someone please explain to me what is going on? Much appreciated.
  4. I know there are some of the Lurchers on my laptop, but this is the Terrier section!
  5. Hello....I'm going to try and find out how to get photos on to the site. I have some photos on the computer, but lots in albums and boxes.
  6. Oh. That's a shame...I thought you were being genuinely interested in my thoughts.
  7. Oh no, not at all....I'm talking over a period of twenty years. I whelped my first litter when I was in the sixth form...I'm a vet and was going to uni the following year. She was my Dad's little white bitch. We breed if we like a bitch and want to keep a pup...we don't sell. They go to homes with friends/family ....we usually have too few pups to go round. Mind you the last litter was 3 years ago. I do really look after them though...they get the best of everything.
  8. Yes. Every bitch I've bred (5) has had her first litter at 4 years of age, usually in the late spring if we can get the timing right.
  9. I'd know more or less having had her for over three years, whether or not she'd be the type of bitch I'd like to breed from. As I said, these are my opinions...everyone's different.
  10. OK fair play flick, when do you think the cut off should be for breeding a bitch for the first time? Just for future reference and to help other members. FTB I'd say there is no hard and fast 'cut off'. Each man should know their own bitch....if she's super fit, having regular seasons and wil get the best of care, then obviously, the risks are minimal. However, if you're not sure about the age of the bitch ("at least 8" ) and she's not having regular seasons and is not in the very best of health, the cut of point would be a lot earlier. This is just my opinion. For me, per
  11. Gosh. You really don't like women do you? It probably stems from a bad experience...eractile dysfunction or similar maybe? Listen, do try to let go of these feelings...they're just eating you up inside. And I'm sure you're not too bad a chap really. P.S. I'll pass on your message to all the 'men folk' in our family, I'm sure they'll be beating a path to your door as I type... P.P.S. I'm not a housewife.
  12. Sorry to hear this, we'll keep a look out, we're not too far away.
  13. My Dad was big into digging, so is my husband, to a lesser extent. It's always been part of my life. And I know about dogs. If you're asking whether I dig three times a week, then no, I don't.
  14. Really? I'm saying I disagree with you and from what I've read, I don't rate you as a dog man. You don't actually say much about dogs or indeed anything of much substance.... you just seem to churn out the same tired jokes. That's all I'm saying.
  15. Sorry Hedz, didn't mean to avoid your question.....yes, our dogs have always worked. To all quarry (pre ban) of-course. I've not shown my dogs, but do enjoy a good Terrier and Lurcher show, so nothing against them.
  16. .....sadly not. Although it is a lovely idea. I've been to pick up some venison.
  17. Terry Duggan. An absolute gentleman. He died, sadly about 18 months ago, he was a wonderful Terrierman.
  18. Do ye work ye tyke's lass or they for the summer show's ye wouldnt happen to keep border's would ye ?? Hi Hedz....not Borders, no. I was given my very first terrier by a friend of my Dad's. I was 11 and very into dogs, but hadn't actually owned my own. He was very game but soft as butter with me. Have always had terriers from the same chap....I'm 37 now.
  19. Yawn. You do try hard. And you are a 'bit' funny sometimes. BUT you do talk utter sh*te about dogs. Sorry...
  20. Yes, definitely as funny as I remember. LOL. Maybe you'd be better off putting it in General Chat though? This is the Earth Dog section after all.....just a thought. But thanks all the same....it certainly brightened up a Tuesday afternoon!
  21. I've seen it...and yes, it is funny, I have to admit.
