    I had a good with my dads r10 in .177 and getting one hole groups with bis mags, but still feel more confidant with my hw80k out to 40m purely because its a .22 any further and don't have the skill. I lost all faith in .177 with my bsa ultra when shooting squirrels the tough lil feckers. Plus another thing is knowing the poi when shooting init the wind with .177 Atb and just my opinion

    I've been after an stock for a while now, mate. How much posted to Leeds? Nice bag too Well iv got the new permission over on my rugby coaches dairy farm so will be putting it through its paces a lot more now! At the start of next month when it warms up abit we will have that day at the range if you fancy it with darryl and mac if they are up for it to so if you still have it then il have it off you. Andy I'm only up in Darlington so wouldn't mind dropping the stock of to you if your still wanting it for a trip out or shoot if you wouldn't mind an not wanting to sound to cheeky.

    Girlfriends dad (farmer) uses them they are light weight, waterproof and quick tough so the pig arnt biting your ankles lmao iv done a nights lamping in them no problem tho

    I don't normally like commenting on threads like these because it the same thing over and over again but iv used .177 and .22 but now I have a lrf and know my milldots it seems irresponsible the shoot an animal with a smaller projectile. For birds I find .177 great plenty of size but for rabbits and squirrels it just have the consistent kill rate. Plus I'm a one gun man so the .22 works out better for me. Just my opinion tho, Lewis

    Ok mate :laugh: I can't wait to see the post your put up when your r10 breaks And I don't think your r10 will out do a s410.How can you say the s410 is a heap of crap when AIR ARMS makes the best rifles. Look the r10 has a regulator where the 410 don't . s410 don't need regulator to shoot consitainly and good . If you took the regulator out of the r10 do you think it will shoot good NO The r10 is long rifle. .To make them look good you need to waste money. I just don't see the big fuss over them.     Stick to head shots, sensible ranges and wear old Dpm army gear. Iv got a army smock with elastic holes on the arms to stuff long grass through so it's like a DIY gillie suit when I want it to be. I had a bsa supersport in .177 and got good numbers through patience and sitting 25yards downwind away from active warrens.

    Have a look on the bottom of your mounts and one should have a tiny recoil screw this one should be at the back and is a fraction bigger than the other

    Are you both using the same pellets? Your barrel may suit different pellets. Have you tried grouping out to 40yards to find out your POA to POI? Do you have a consistent hold? Does your mate have the ability to shot out to 40yards with a springer? Few things to think about

    Now thats strange! Being a member of several forums, I found THL posts a very interesting, and regular mix of different related subjects, very helpful, informative and not monopolised by know it all and stand off regular contributors. Without the fear of being ridiculed, even lesser knowledgeable newbies questions are answered in a respectful way.     It's just the same sh*t day after day. Don't blame him I only check on my phone when Iv got to nothing to do at work or being made to watch the soaps.

    Google is your friend, it will explain a lot and you won't sound like a totally newbie shooting live animals that you clearly don't know anything about

    It is a real nice rifle only had one proper go so far finishing of the tin of h&n ftts I had. I bought some more and some more grease to strip clean and regrease but haven't had any time and to do anything. I was suppost to be out yesterday with a mate but the weather put a hold on that.
