There are a few billy's were i live and i happened to live in baltic st at the time.

I am struggling lately on the canal with lure's, i can't buy a bite, but it's been really coloured lately, i'm thinking it will settle down soon and it should get good, seen alot of carp mooching about,some big carp aswell, but i'm sticking with the lure's.

Good time, good fish, can it get any better, would of liked to see the pike that grabbed that barbel, it doesn't look like a pike bite, more of a heron stabb, but may have had more detail seeing it in the flesh, (no pun) i would of put that mackeral on a pair of treble's, just incase it was about, nice fish, hope there is not as much water next time, good luck.

Great pic's mate, it's good when you start getting your kid's into fishing, but they have got to catch, and your's have, tell the kid's well done, and them pic's are great, they will be in your fly box before you know it, good luck. -

Sound's good danny, this is my first summer that i've carried on pike fishing, i usually pack up in march, but this year i have got into lure fishing for them, so i have been chasing them with lure's, no deadbait's, been hard upto now but probably down to the rain we have been having, hoping for everywhere to settle and it should be ok, nothing decent yet but i am sticking with it, hoping for that big girl to try and pull me in.

I've been using power pro, 50lb i think it is, for the last couple of week's and find it great, i can feel every touch on it, i am glad i have got used to it, i just took a couple of tip's of a few people and found it to be good, i alway's dip the spool in the water to wet the braid before i start fishing, i really rate it, and it has got me more into my lure fishing, just need to catch a decent fish on it now, haven't had a double on it yet, early day's still and this rain need's to back off.

You got a bargain there mate, you would of got it cheaper if i hadn't been bidding against you only messing, you've got a good reel there mate, supposed to be a very good reel, and at a good price, hope you christen it first trot through, let us know how it deal's with a day's fishing.

I don't even own a 5oz lead, the biggest i have is 3oz, wouldn't like a bag of them to carry to my swim,good luck for the weekend mate, a few pic's would be good, river or fish pic's.

5oz to hold bottom, seem's a hell of alot to me, but i don't fish for barbel, hope you get plenty more mate.
