    Not sure if your taking the piss mate, but stanley has been made bigger, the lake goes into the garden's now, ducky still there, got a few nice carp in it now, biggest i have heard is 26lb, can't moan at that when it's 5mins away.

    I think you lot need a competition, a ref will post a subject, and fist pic posted win's, first one to 3 or how ever many you think would be right, win's the crown, challenger's welcome, go on lad's we would all love it.

    How you getting on Billy had any wins yet ?.....Ive had a bet of sorts on every game im a bit in front but not much.......if the krauts win tonight i,ll be laughing.....you had anything of interest ? Tonight was my first win of the euro's, i usually do double's, i had fabregas 1st goal and 4-0 so got paid out as a single, the double was 28-1, the single 10-1, so i've got £55 back, thank fcuk i've got something back, for a change.

    Good idea mate, i have never done it that way, but you could really get them going i think, if done right, it's just working out the right way,i would pick swim's that no-one else fishes, that way they shouldn't find any other bait in them area's, i would pick 3-4 area's and only pre bait when nobody is about, for around 10 day's, as you say pick a bait that you can get plenty off and put in good size piece's or the size you will use on your hook or hook's, after 10-14 day's give it ago, but don't give up if it doesn't work straight away, stick with it, it may take longer for them to get on it

    he must be a fair age now that chris He must be, them day's when him and rod hutchinson were fishing redmire must of been great time's, but if you where there you wouldn't of known the importance of fishing that place at that time, must have some great memories, when he broke the carp record it was a big deal, not like it is now.

    The site look's good chris, might be good to do a rig section, bait section, tackle section it really help's newcomer's, some newcomer's don't like asking, maybe a forum for club member's or open forum, also match result's and tactic's, just idea's, so good luck with the site mate. That sound's like a great night's fishing that mate, i have never had a barbel myself, supposed to be great fighter's, you will have to put me wise where you go mate, not sure if there are any barbel river's local to liverpool, it's something i have never fished for, anyway look forward to hear about you christen

    I seen that a few day's ago, probably cost him a grand in bait, travel and all the usual that goes with that circus, i watched the interview with chris yates the other day, he is some character, really enjoy his book's, he write's in a different way to other writer's, it's all rose tinted, but enjoyable.

    I have tried this with fish scrap's, head's, tail's, fin's and after 9 day's, thought the big girl's would be waiting, fished with smelt on one rod, half macky on the other, nothing over 12lb but plenty of action, plan on trying it this autumn/winter on a canal, hopefully get a big girl this time.

    That's got to be a true saying, cause they do catch more angler's than fish, and like what was said most of us use the same lure's on a reguler basis.

    Ive won 1 bet in 4 games so far .....them Dutch stitched me right up today ....Got a few bob on the Italians pulling off a surprise tomorrow. You have done better than me, so far, them dutch stitched everyone up, 28 shot's on target, unbelievable, well i have gone against you today mate, i hope there are no surprise's and i have put them with croatia in a double, side bet is jelavic 1st goal, hope it's a better day than the last 2, good luck gnash.

    As bear said, first thing and last thing, if your on a river cast into them deep pool's and also right in close, you would be surprised where a trout will lie and wait, and on lake's they still come close in if it's a quite place, get out there and you will be telling us where they are soon, if there are pike in the water alway's use a wire trace, good luck.

    Haven't won a carrot yet, but still enjoying it, russia was a great team to watch, and as gnash said, i think the french will surprise a few, they were 12-1 now 9-1, so they have had plenty put on them, looking forward to seeing holland today and germany later, that's a good double if i ever seen one, in the holland game, van persie to score anytime and holland to win pay's 5-2 got to be worth ago, the way thing's are going i will be skint by the final i thought poland would of smashed greece, so that knackered my double, what do you fancy lad's.

    I reckon that it must be very good for ledgering deadbait's, any movement would really show on alarm or indicater, but wouldn't fancy it for float fishing, do you use it for lure fishing, if yes, how do you find it, i am going to stick with the mono myself as i have no problem's with it, no need to change over just because a few decent lure angler's use it, for every braid user there must be double or treble mono user's, so i will see if i feel the same in the winter or next year, will probably feel the same, thank's.

    If it ain't broke, it doesn't need fixing, i will stick with the mono for now, the lure fishing has been ok with mono, it was just alot of lure angler's swear by it, i'll stick to what i know best, until it stop's working, thank's for all reply's, it did help.

    That's the problem i have used mono for a long time, not sure if i will get used to the braid.
