  1. A little OT (well kinda) but this all reminds me of an incident that occurred about ten years ago. I lived on a council estate and the typical yob family over the road (you know the type, they have family members all over the estate and think they run it) had a collie x beagle x whippet bitch who could have been a very useful ferreting dog in the right hands. The teenage lads who owned it though raised it to snap and snarl at anything and anyone, and the dog was left roaming the estate throughout the day. It thought nothing of entering houses, biting anyone getting in its way, to stea
  2. That's it, Stiffmeister. I wasn't intending this thread to turn into anything specific about that poor kid (who lived in my uncle's street), before things get out of hand... Not saying any replies so far were wrong - just getting my reply in early in case the thread goes loco lol It just amazed me the attitude this woman had. And as jultaylor said, you'd think a breeder would at least know better. Scarier yet, this woman isn't just a breeder/shower, she's a committee level judge as well!! Ignorance abounds, which is outright depressing no matter which breed we're talking about
  3. Hi guys, I’ve never done this sort of thing before, but I needed a vent at someone (well some people) who won’t just look back at me like I’m from Mars I just had a most “interesting†conversation with a lady I know, who happens to breed and show Dobermans. She just so happened to mention about the recent PBT hysteria, and the witch hunt death squads currently making the rounds. I actually thought she was talking sense for a moment, as the conversation started like this: (her) “Yes, it’s ridiculous. Some people in any breed just breed for the money and mix any
  4. Quite right Stabs, quite right. Not to belittle the death of this poor child, but isn't it telling how there was no Rottweiler amnesty the other month, no Bullmastiff amnesty, no Labrador amnesty... you get the idea. Of course those dogs aren't covered by the DDA, but the point remains.
  5. I was born and bred in St Helens. Poor little sod, I have to say this one brought a lump to my throat. My uncle lives in Knowles House Avenue (where it happened) and I've an idea who the family is. If it is them, I've seen the dogs too. Was "interesting" to see that a post mortem is being carried out on the dog to test what breed it is... WTF?! That comment aside I think I'll be keeping quiet on this one, but I'm thinking about the family at this time and hope that the poor little mite rests in peace. Oh, I forgot to add... There is now an official amnesty on pit bulls and
  6. Hi guys, Here's a webpage I just threw together with some pics I snapped before dawn this morning. My Patterdale x Sealyham bitch pup, Gypsy, is 12 months old as of this week. She's now fully grown at 11" and 11lbs give or take. She's apparently taken offence to the smell of ferret crud on a patch of dirt around a small paving slab, dug the slab up and tunnelled on looking for said ferret. I caught her at it this morning after having given her a telling off for paying that spot way too much attention last night... Anyway here's the results (Internet Explorer only - MHTML file).

    biodiesel

Just to be clear; if you're manufacturing your own biodiesel, you will have to register your premeses (even if its your home) with HMRC and fill in a fuel tax form every month stating how much you made. It's not just VAT, but fuel duty. You need to pay both. That said, you DO NOT have to fill in or return any tax paperwork if you bought your bio from a supplier or fuel station. They have already done it for you. 79p a litre upwards is tax paid. Just get a receipt for the fuel if you're worried about a tug, or just tell them where you bought it. I've run my 1995 Pug 405s on bio for
  9. Here you go mate, £1.49 at Maplins: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?Module...attery&doy=8m10 Sorted
  10. Bah, humbug! Lighten up fella! You must be gay as well, like that fat c*nt in the video Yeah ok, whatever you say boss
  11. Bondy, not to hand mate. I'll grab some this week and stick 'em up
  12. Just found these pics from last year of a mate's excellent earth dogs. They're from the same strain more or less, out of old Gould/Jones blood amongst others. Nicely line bred by a guy in Wales, I might just get myself a dog to match my Patterdale x Sealyham bitch this season As for the £100 and a bit of paper, couldn't agree more in many respects. However I still think it's worth differentiating between long-legged JRs and shorter-legged (almost achondroplasic) JRs. The bitches below are both long legged, and the larger of the two was 14" - as you can see it never stopped her workin
  13. Hi mate, Ditch is bang on mate, as were those kennel girls. Benylin is the dogs for helping kennel cough run its course, really sooths them. My dad's pup caught it (he was a rescue) and I advised the same - keep him indoors, no contact with dogs, don't go near dogs yourself for a bit (carrying the germ), and give him the kid's dose of benylin until it clears up. Works a charm
  14. Personally I'd just take in a copy of the relevant piece of EU legislation which clearly shows that the general public (private individuals) are exempt from their legal requirements. That usually does the trick, some of them just genuinely think they're not allowed. There's a letter from an MEP somewhere laying it out in plain English, I'll dig it out for you. I also got confirmation from DEFRA on this just last week.
  15. That's the one Cupid! Lie down ya c**t!! haha I just love how the older guy is gripping him by the shirt, finger in his face, telling him a few home truths... while the lad's still trying to work out what day it is LMAO Talk about teaching the chav some manners, class clip that!
  16. Socks, sounds like Windows Media Player is damaged or doesn't have an AVI codec mate. Check the "More information" button if one pops up, or re-install the latest version of media player from MS's site. Lads, I've looked everywhere for the other clip (the one I was actually thinking of - not the one posted earlier). A group of lads are picking on one skinny lad in a park and really put hurt on him for no reason... Head of the gang struts off after smashing his face in, thinking he's hard, only thing is a news crew was recording it, and one BIG ex-boxer spots what's going on. The box

  18. I won't say too much, but is it the one with the boxer? If so, get it on - well worth watching!
  19. Wow, this raw feeding lark really is hard work, isn't it? haha Good man Spike. Yes I know the area very well, we use an abattoir in Skem if you're up for going co-op with us? You can buy mince and get bones free (handy if you like feeding tripe) or can just buy bones outright. Give me a PM if you're interested mate. The butchers are ace for most stuff, but the abattoir has whole pigs feet, whole heads, etc as well. Cheers, Lee
  20. The folks at UKRMB are excellent - couldn't recommend them any more highly I've worked closely with them of late on one thing or another and things are really starting to take shape behind the scenes (government, RCVS etc). Look out for media coverage soon You might also take time to join the campaign list at Yahoo! Groups - the group name is RawMeatyBones (no spaces). Cheers, Lee EDIT: Oops forgot to say, while you're there join UKRMB for free - it gives them a bit of a boost and lets them see just how popular raw is becoming (for use in lobbying government etc). Plus
  21. Glad to see you're keeping busy DS, the pup looks cracking Drop me a PM about that there night dog
