dont mind seeing a good dog and battle scars but the ones under its muzzle around its throat gives your game away silly man (bad publicity)

DEERHOUND 1st X(HOLLY@1YEAR)cookland/doxhope strain
gibbo1973 replied to gibbo1973's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
yes she got plenty of wind and stamina , been out with 2 other lads and were quite impressed with her for only been 11 months old and working the lamp well, 2nd time she was out she impressed me running a bunny jumping pig wire caught it and jumped back over with it in her mouth, just like an old pro, im hoping she'll turn out right for the job steady entering her and reap the rewards ,still a bit puppyfied but not bad now ,put a hare up in a field yesterday , now she s scanning the fields today on the look out for movement so she s getting to grasp the working side of our walks not just tro -

my mate had a 3/4 grey 1/4 sal and its the best dog ive seen run hares on moor or grass and was a demon on foxes/deer all pre ban as it was about 15 yrs ago ,he bred off it and keep one pup which he later sold so never saw it run ,then he sold the bitch when in season and got alot of money for it ,and the stupid lad ran it and smashed its legs up 1st night he had it out ,what a waste and put it down,he also had a 3/4 sal 1/4 grey bought it as a day time dog as this was very different, very sluggish and not at all nimble in the turn so two different types and two different styles

i am no way biased because this is my first x dh/gh------ its just that the lads who i got in touch with put me onto good stock, some may think trev will be breeding too many i think thats rubbish as he says 7 from 10 yrs its because its supply and demand everyone would do the same if you've 7 people for pups why not breed if youve good sound stock ?how many has he gave away or culled ?same as bill and other deerhound x breeders . dave platt, bill, even hancock(collie) some one must want a pup i know you dont have to be big breeders or "old ,ha ha bill " to know your business but when you me

i mailed you both on this site and personally also i'll send you some recent pics to show you how much she looks like your stock ps cant wait to see your records if im passing up your way THANKS
-
ok thanks think his dogs will be 6 -8 not sure like think trev tried to get along on this web site but like yourself and the rest who bring decent topics and a little to a site just get slated so they tend not to comment as much if at all end of day you may as well just personally e mail them on your topics and info and keep it to people who you can rely and trust and keep in touch on a regular basis
-
hi bill , just a quick one are nt the dogs and bitches from your original stock he has now? but the pups what are bred now with be 1/2 doxhope or not ?
-
just look at the greyhound data base and top honcho he raced only 3 times and sired over 10,000 pups (they would nt use him on his race form would they ,he would of been on the heap with rest of them ) so i agree if its got the genes and confrontation of a good dog used for bitches then why not ? other breeders not just trev will use young dogs if it suites their breeding pattern and improves their quality of stock

hi all had this rifle for about 2 yrs and had some fun with it,when i bought it from the gun shop they threw in some 40 quid ish mountings, up untill now they have been ok but recently they have sliding on the rifle (howa 1500 sporter) last week i stripped them down re sighted them on the rifle and nail varnished all the threads and heads to lock them in position, today went up to zero the rifle and got the sights just about bang on @100 yr

-
im not on about you chart its the lads or others who comments on the breed failing ,im in the same boat im a 1st x owner cookland /doxhope stuff ,i just get annoyed at what people think about this x especially when there pups and the quote it never lasted long it bugs me to death i love my 11 mth old bitch had her out 4 times and did 6 rabbits 2 -3 runs a night once or twice a week get them going a little (its not rocket science) the last run she did she ran it up and down a wire fence the bunny escaped she jumped over ran picked it and jumped back over with it in her mouth to hand i was we

when this 1st started he was asked for a pure deerhound ,yes we all know that the ban may have hindered the working dog a little but the lines of which he wants off trev is 2nd to non look what he has in possession(all doxhope stuff ,BILL has lived, breathed, ran and bred this line for years and years ) give credit where credits due as half of you wankers have nt got a clue whats been put into this lineage aand its your fault that the dog has FAILED, ive asked bill and trev about the 1st x and bill agrees they may not be the best lurcher in the world and some do need time but he has raced t
