    If his kennel is as good as you say then it,ll be diet, feed a good barf diet, fatty Lamb ribs are the best thing i,v found for putting weight on a dog, give them a couple of times a week, Sardenes in oil will sort its coat out, again, a couple of times a week, and dont forget it,ll need carbs too. You can turn a dog around in a couple of weeks, good luck with it.

    You,ll not be disapointed, its not just a good lamp for £45, its a good lamp full stop. Iam going to give it a couple more outings before i drill a hole in the filter, i think its the way to go, for me anyway, but i need to be sure before drilling.

    do you think it spills more than the lightforce etc? Maybe the deben 150 is different to the PLR then because I didn't notice much spill (I don't think) I have'nt used the Lightforce for at least a couple of years mate, so iam proberbly not the man to ask for a valid opinion, i can say it spill,s a fair bit more than my clubman, but its a better, more alround lamp imho, the clubman is the rabbit mans lamp, this gives you more options, i could clearly see rabbits a few hundred yrds away, far too far for me or the dog lol.

    Used mine last and its the best £45 i,v ever spent, its got a good spot on it without the filter on but still spill,s a fare bit of light, some folk like this, i dont as much, i think iam going to drill a hole in the middle of the filter, abit like the clubman filters and try that, iam also going to use the threded hole in the bottom of the handle to fit a Lanyard of some sort so i can hang it over my shoulder while climeing over fences etc, dont get me wrong its an excellent lamp, iam just going to try and make it suit me better. Has anyone else cut a hole in the filter.

    I got mine last weekend, not had chance to use it yet but the wife is going to drop me off tonight before she goes to bed, i,v got a six mile walk home, all over estate land and i,ll love every minute.

    Best over trousers i,v had are Sprayway, i bought the from Arco for around £15 in the sale just after Xmas, i spray the seams now and again with Silcon spray from Toolstation, never been wet yet.

    I give my 2 hounds warm scrambled egg when we get in, they love it, cooked food is also more easy to digest than raw so its win win.

    I use an Acme to recall mine, she,ll also work to hand signals to some extent, i dont over do the training these days as long as recall is spot on iam happy enough.

    Indeed it would Shealy, always fancy'd a first cross DH/Whippet [i,v never seen one] but a first cross put to a whippet would be usefull to me.

    I,v seen some bad feet lately on some Deerhound,s, DH crosses, i cant remember seeing any bad feet in the 70s/80s, very few folk seem to breed the right type these days.

    Not too botherd but if its rough i like a harsh coat, i dont like linty type coats.

    Always thrill,s me when a dog of mine makes its first catch/kill, be it a Terrier with a Rat or Runner with a Rabbit, nice one Rex.

    I orderd mine on Thursday and it came yesturday but they wouldnt leave it has no body was in, even though i,d ok'd it with the supplyer, left a note on the door and left the front porch open all day, the PO left a note saying it wouldnt fit in the letter box, twats

    OK, I thought as much, i had the same problem many years ago, dog retreaved Hares to hand, single handed or with a mates dog, then ran it with a dog i didnt know once, yes once, that ate the catch, my dog started doing the same, i did plenty of retreave training and holding, letting him carry the catch for a while before i took it off him, it cured him, it took 2 or 3 weeks, i didnt run him with strange dogs after that and all remained well, in fact he was the best dog i,v ever had, hope you get it sorted.

    Thats a b*****d Malc, a litter brother of mine took the top of his skull off on a post, it can be a heart braking old game at times, hope he comes good for you again.

    I,ll be hanging on to my old Clubman, its served me well, but maybe its time to try the new, if it comes tomorrow i,ll be out tomorrow night if the wind suits, i,v just been out a cleared a path through a thick hedge, it brings me out infront of a nice set and only 10 mins from my back door.
