  1. They are a good way to sharpen a dog up i agree. Get them on from pups.Gets them breathing aswell. I use a 10ft bamboo.
  2. breeds are best evolved through work requirments imo and not re creating something that already exists but with a personalised badge on it. eg Plummer terrier...see Jack Russell....Alaunt...see Bull cross. Just my opinion mind. I wouldnt want to ruin anyones fun.
  3. Falcon Prairie carbine .177 with a fully shrouded barrel.Weihrauch silencer. Walnut stock with rose wood end caps. One 8 shot magazine. very good condition. Lightly used. Warwickshire. £325
  4. That should be plenty for a dog to bed down in mate. They like it not too big so they are supported when curled up.
  5. Dogs that have cramps etc when lamping are usually not fit and dehydrate. I dont think a dog needs a full meal before lamping. If you feed breakfast and a snack that should be fine. Also its not the hours you are out its the runs the dog has and his level of fitness. Rabbit lamping in country where theres a lot of them requires real fitness to get good numbers. A dog needs quality food...you dont see Wolves eating pasta and rice.If the dogs fit and fed right he should go well without being fed before lamping. They enjoy a good feed when they get back and we usually put electrolites on the feed
  6. Yes you have to sing at his bar if you get caught speeding.
  7. Yes but to get in the inner circle you have to go through the initiation process. Some people have been driven to Border line madness. Its not for everybody.
  8. Sod the keyboards, Im out every day searching for pregnant Hares, leverets and cubs for my 5 out of 3 dogs to course. It wont be long before its too cold to go out again.Soon be Christmas..
  9. what a smashing litter, and nice to see them having room to play.
  10. Trouble is people will outcross all the time. Keep blood tight. You may have a good mongrel terrier but what happens when you come to breed it?
  11. HW 97 KT.22cal WITH A WALNUT CUSTOM SPORTER STOCK. ITS HAD THE TOP RANGE TUNE FROM SANDWELL FIELDSPORTS. THE GUN AND STOCK ARE NEW APART FROM A HANDFUL OF PELLETS. THE STOCK AND TUNE ALONE COST £350. I want £450 IM IN WARWICKSHIRE.
  12. Now thats what I call a joke.
  13. I f you really want to be scared..go and visit him..Some say hes a character, some say hes a bore but all will agree he is full to the brim with bullshit. One thing I will say in his favour and that is he does look after his dogs well...after all the line is over 400 years old.
  14. Thats the best common sense Ive heard in a long time.
  15. there is not enough protean in tripe for a bitch feeding pups ,them pups will drag all the calcium out of that bitch Thats right. Tripe is low on protien but high in calcium, but without vitamin D. it doesnt get absorbed. Bitches needs lots of red meat .Cooked veg aswell to keep the bowels moving. The best thing about tripe is the price.
  16. It just comes down to money with people like that.
  17. I see your point but he has no reason to lie. He has been doing it for 30 years. I would take experience over a few science lessons any day. All he has done is cross two breeds together for thirty years. Hancock is a farmer....chickens,dogs its all the same. I don't disagree. But I bet a chicken farmer could produce a better chicken than you or me. Speak for yourself mate. Im no chicken.
  18. He knows how to make a living from selling dogs.
  19. dominant and recessive alleles play a role but its like when you look like your parent but your sibling looks like your other parent. This is because i asked if i could select a pup once theyre older, but apparently theyre booked the day theyre born, so its a guess how they turn out. It must have changed because Hancock used to put whole litters down when they hadnt sold and had got too expencive to keep.

  21. All pups are 50% of each parient. But genes split into two parts during the conception but reform in the egg. So if say you had three genes on each side (parents) and they divide so you have 6 on each side, but then they join each other to make 3 again. They rejoin randomly which is why they can represent one parent more than the other.
  22. The man had an opinion that he later realised was wrong. He not only had the courage to admit that but he has also done something to make amends. You couldnt ask for a better voice for us than a man who used to be anti but has seen the light.
  23. I think people might think its the pups pedigree because its pictured next to him. I have heard of a "Barn brooke frosty morning" but not a "Frostymorning of Ludwoth" Which one is it?
