    Dropped onto a spot I was at last week when I shot a lone vixen. It’s only a smallish field but it’s safe shooting and it produces foxes constantly from surrounding woods and land. Nothing after 30 mins squeaking then I the flicked the lamp on and there was two sets of eyes, obviously a pair and very close together. They hadn’t come to the squeak, they weren’t interested. They didn’t seem too mithered by me shining the lamp, they had other things on their mind. Both disappeared for 5 mins then reappeared from out of some brambles. Whack! 75 yards. The vixen dropped and her mate left the scene

    Great shooting. Could be dropped but as you say, there’s a lot of food there. I shot four in one night on a horsey place with the shotgun years ago. They were almost tame and full of mange. Managed a few litters but nothing on that scale ??
