  5. There was a thread not long ago someone had the same issue... I think It was agreed that you or an RFD wouldn't be breaking the law by buying any .22 rifle, be it a lr or hornet. Having said that, you don't want to piss off your licensing department or make them think you're the sort who tries every trick in the book, but it's up toyou what you do with that. Personally I'd call them and ask to clarify
  6. 7 months for me Ring them anyway see what stage it's at
  7. The first chap I mentored just needed a report on his attitude towards and knowledge of shooting safety plus a bit of fac hunting experience. I wasn't a referee to attest to his character etc. Although IMO he was very sound. And that's the way it should be An impartial, objective view of the applicants firearms handling etc. If the police are that bothered (and they should be with new applicants who have zero experience), they should bring a firearms officer round with a deactivated rifle, and ask the applicant to talk them through loading/unloading, muzzle clearing, and answer a s

  9. Was just on BBC news, about 3 institutions including CEOP said 'Its a crime committed predominantly by Asian men', then the police came on and said ''Thats simply not true''!!!!!!! Un-fcuking-believable
  10. But the referee forms state ''You are not guaranteeing the future conduct of the applicant'', so there's no way legally you could be prosecuted. If I crash can the DVLA be prosecuted for saying I'm ok to have a license???
  11. CPS are w@nkers, rather keep up appearances than do their fcuking job. Heads should roll but they won't
  12. Let's not forget, 9 were jailed but how many were pulled in by the cops? 42 or something?
  13. Seen quite a few bikers outside the levenhall arms the other week, then on the way to work through Dalkeith 2 blokes all in black flying round the corner, I was pissing myself lol I know there's a few clubs this way, are there any serious ones?
  14. Hope they get bummed. The cops were told 4 years ago, what a shock they didn't lift a finger...
  15. SOCA have classed them as the biggest criminal threat in the UK! They don't make it obvious as far as I know, you hear about chavs stabbing each other over drugs but very rarely are mcc's in the limelight..
  16. I'm tempted to save a bit of cash by buying a decent second hand action and a brand new stock, and fitting it myself. Has anyone done this, and is it easy? Or should I listen to my head and let a gunsmith do it?
  17. for the love of god don't go to the bulldog and talk about the outlaws.i have been to the bulldog every year and i'm no member of any gang.let me tell you i'm the sort of guy that sadly finds idiots if i go into town who like fighting.having an fac i avoid trouble like the plague.you will not meet a nicer group than at the bulldog ,never seen any trouble.they just want to live life there way and respect to them. I'm exactly the same, I can be the quietest man in the bar and at some point someone will want to measure dicks My guns are worth more to me than keeping up appearances in fro
  18. My CA insurance just ran out, I'm swapping to SACS simply because £100,000 is there for legal disputes with licensing etc, coupled with a good price for a good package.

  21. I find it amazing in this day and age that some wouldn't even think about trying it! Tasty and healthy, and best of all, free (well for those of us that can fetch them ourselves). People would rather spend £6 on a battery chicken
  22. I agree. Fat kids should be put in a home and worked / starved till they are fit to be released back onto society. Should be a big bootcamp in the Pentlands that would sort them out lol
