It's very much like most of his interviews he's done,he has a set format he always uses in interviews but there is a section where talks about hound breeding and a really good section on the border terriers and there influence on the black dogs bloodlines stuff I've not read anywhere the rest of it is me Brian and a guy called Ian from oswestry chatting about digging

Around 2001 I taped a interview /conversation with Brian its about 3 hours long for a article for a US mag unfortunately the mag finished before it was published, I intend on using it at a later date

I was asked to do a piece for the book on my experiences of working a family down from Brian's terriers which I did , and Sean told me he was in contact with Brian, but as we know his health has not been good, but also Sean had material information from other books on patterdales from Brian , the book is full of good information on patterdales but as already been said it takes some reading

Hi Barrie , may i ask is the NWTF via yourself testing the water on the forum, on the subject of licensing , or is there plans to start drawing up plans for one , you have my trust anyway as I as well as most know there would be no terrier work without the NWTF, my only concern is when i first started with terriers you could dig and humanely control a certain mammal as long as you had written permission, that didn't last long and then the laws tighten up again in 1992 , my worry is we could face the same thing with fox, regards Glyn

i can see the plus point of a licence, but it would be a minefield on who should get one , who would be in charge of issuing them , D.E.F.R.A, M.F.H , N.F.U Gamekeeper association the countryside alliance, BASC all of them ! i just can't see it working unfortunately but something needs doing edited to add maybe the NWTF working alongside others would be the answer

i don't think genuine lads have any thing to worry about all the lads i know work there terriers within the law , and since badger digging has all but died out in the uk and judging by what i saw last night i'm not surprised the dogs where poor at the job, they where not up to the job of illegally digging badgers because nearly 50 years have passed since those bloodlines where around , careful reel your ego's in now lads we don't need anymore dumb ass quote from dumb ass wannabe's the likes of which we heard and saw last night but lets just put it in perspective 13 cases of badger

i've had a couple of cannibals one was a bitch and she would kill and eat pups if kennelled with her after 12 weeks , pups where safe after 12 months old , the other was a dog you could not kennell him with anything but neither where fighters, both crazy mad for work
