  1. another one is the time we went to the national folk museum in st asaph, wishing well with huge security guard(we were school kids so he looked huge)watching over it, went round corner and there was a fire alarm switch, cue elbow through glass and t-shirt off, after vanishing round the corner to count our gains we found most of the coins were foreign, what a waste of a ducking
  2. now thats just childish crap :D glad you like it
  3. you will get as many answers to this question as there are makes and types of pellet, the only answer that really counts is what will work in your gun, no simple way of finding that out except putting pellets down the barrel, best tip is, if the pellets are cheap and they look inconsistant then they are probably not worth trying
  4. used to have some shit hot 2 part epoxy glue, stick a 5p coin to the urinal in the pub and see which pi**head would struggle to get it, surprising sometimes who would win the coin
  5. WHO GAVE IT TO THEM we, the dickheads who vote for them, i think it has reached the stage where we should be given the opportunity to vote out the fuckers who don`t do what they said they would do when they came crawling for our vote, then the b*****ds would have something to think about after they got in
  6. good work on the stock, nice job on the metalwork as well but i would have used satin black spray on the metal, what did you do to the stock?
  7. think this proves beyond all reasonable doubt that the law and common sense bear no relationship to eachother, me, i just avoid places where the public have access wherever possible
  8. read up a bit before giving me the CAPITALS, it is not illegal to be in a public place with an uncovered gun, its up to you to justify having it with you and if you can you are within the law, most of the shit that goes down is because you all are too willing to just lie down like a good dog and believe the crap that coppers who don`t know the actual legislation that applies give out
  9. couple of replies, 1 the OP was`nt walking down a high street, he was on 1 of his perms that has a public right of way on it, if he`s using it for access he does not have to cover his gun when on, or within 50 feet of it, just not shoot his gun, and to springer, you have an uneducated plod being a prick, most of then try it on hoping they can get brownie points over you, join basc if you want proper legal advice and if your on an iffy perm just call it in to the police control centre and ask for an incident number, i lamp over a few places within full view of town and after calling it in never
  10. There`s no age quoted . Also on a canal towpath ( which the OP states is not his premission ) SO - In a case , unloaded , with mag ( if appilcable ) in your pocket stored away from the gun . bllx, try reading up on law before giving advise
  11. Where you can shoot Where you intend to shoot, always ensure that you are authorised by the landowner or person with the sporting rights and that you know precisely where the boundaries are. Get permission in writing, if possible, to remove any doubt. Whenever you are in a public place you should carry the rifle in a gun cover and always ensure that it is unloaded and not cocked. this bit is guidance It is an offence to fire an air rifle pellet beyond the land where you have permission to shoot, unless the occupier of the neighbouring land has also given you permission. Where someone
  12. both replies are wrong, there is an age restriction for having a gun uncovered in a public place, which ,i think covers a towpath, the bit you have to prove is having a reasonable excuse for having the gun with you uncovered, other bit of law that covers this is not being a nuisance to others using the path, if you look up the laws properly you will fing that it is in fact legal to carry a gun, its the shooting of it that can cause problems, check on the BASC website for more on airgun laws, wish more plods would do this as well
  13. find a club, talk to as many people there as you can, ask nicely if you can try out a range of guns and scopes, then think about parting with cash, no point in choosing a gun that has all the bells and whistles fitted if you then find it does`nt suit you (done that myself too many times)
  14. don`t think that route would get very far, far better threat would involve cops over missing firearm, checks on their security would be far more hassle for them
  15. they, as a shop, have `a duty of care`, no way out for them, replace gun or pay what would be a market value to you for you to replace gun, whatever you do, do NOT hand over the receipt to them, if they want to see it, get a photocopy made
  16. sure i can find a space for mine, usually carry an axe as well when attending a meet so chopping the wood down to fit whatever we have for the fire won`t be a problem
  17. think part of the problem here has been the rise of pet insurance, they now know how much money they can make out of it and have increased their rates to everybody to reflect this, and most of them like their shiny expensive equipment and relish every chance of using it (and putting it on the bill)
  18. was it the cammo jacket in your avatar.... think it was my old school jacket, was`nt that sorry to see it g
  19. back in the days when only rich cnuts could afford lighters and lots used matches, got out of the car while out in the sticks, in a hurry, slammed door behind me as i got out, jacket got stuck in the door jamb, problem was, the box of matches got crushed and sparked off, knackered jacket and no way to spark up a smoke for ages (could`nt afford a car with a cigarette lighter then)
  20. carry a tennis bat (or baseball bat) with you. as long as you`ve got a ball as well just say you carry it to whack the ball a good distance for the dog to fetch
  21. lots of names signing up, hope most of them turn up, do you want me to start collecting firewood, wil try to get better stuff than pallets if its to last 2 nights
  22. if its for your own use and your comfortable with your own butchery skills just get on with it, only thing to decide is how you stun it and how do you dispose of the waste
  23. as far as an mot goes, it really depends on how far it is from what they call a `proscribed area` these are generally seat belt mounts and suspension mounts altho with the daihatsu having a separate chassis this can be a bit confused, welding repairs are allowed as long as they can be regarded as up to `original strength`, mainly means that if a patch is in the middle of a panel it has to be seam welded and if to an original spot welded seam spot or plug welding is allowed, just need a tester who is clued up on what the pass standard is, a car can be a shed and still pass a puker test, thing y
  24. price of a bacon roll, thats nothing, you should have seen my mate (yes, i have got 1) last year at the midland game fair, first time he`d been, dragged him out of his house before he`d had a brew, we got there and the first thing he aimed for was a brew wagon, thought he was having a heart attack when they asked for two quid for a polystyrene cup of tea, fcuk was he in a hump over that
