  6. No mate i didnt get a litter out of her, as i said It happened in her 3rd season and that would have have been her season to really start to prove herself, she was rehomed as pet and on medication till her demise due to her injury 5yrs ago

  9. I had one of Hancocks about 15 year ago, a blue merle bitch, her sire was a dog called storming norman to a g/hound bitch, got her at 7wks she was jabbed she was well wormed and generally in good health. She was very tractable keen to please and soaked training up like a sponge, by the age of 19mths she was lamping, working with ferrets, starting to take feather, had killed a few daytime hares and had 3or 4 roe under her belt she stood 25 tts and was a really well shaped bitch. In her third season she was retrieving a daytime hare , she was about to jump the fence when she was mobbed by some y
  10. Used jeyes fluid on ferret courts and kennels for years and never had any ill effects
  11. Spot on Albert, you cant beat a bit of collie in the mix, far to many critics on here who have never seen a good collie cross work let alone own one

  13. She told me if i ever bought her a present like that again she was gonna have my dogs put down, and there was me trying to be thoughtful
  14. Bought mine a sewing machine once, on opening it she broke down in tears saying I could shove it up my ar*e!!
  15. Limited stamina i have to agree, but horses for courses, I have a 3/4 gh 1/4 beardie bitch at the age of 9 she has had her fair share of daytimes mostly found by her own nose rose and killed in within a rather short distance thus enabling her to have had 3 for 3 in her way, as for feet I've seen bad feet in alot of crosses, for me who isn't really interested in Sharp toothed prey this bitch has excelled in the taking of all things edible including taking of feather regular, also a good bitch for finding and marking nests of ground nesting birds, a genuine allrounder imo, I did breed her with a
  16. You should find it very tractable, and eager to please especially if its the only one you've got, only advice I would give is to spend as much time as possible with it and bond properly, as far as I'm concerned its all about encouragement and never over match the pup, you only get out what you put in, its a good choice of breeding can't see you going wrong with it atb
  17. I've kept this kind of cross for years and for what I do I can't fault them mate, where did you purchase it from and is it beardie or border collie in the mix atb with it

  22. I start mine off as birddog says, a wing then a pair of wings attached to a dummy, from there I go to a dead bird, once the pup is confident carrying the carcass I move on to a few shot crows pigeons pheasant and the inevitable will happen you'll get a runner and then its all about encouragement, next step leave the air rifle get the pup in among a few and its all encouragement again, I've an old beardie greyhound who is a real dab hand at taking feather atb
  23. I've read this whole thread and what a lot of shite it is, from he did this to you did that and whos trying to shag who, its times like this I'm glad I keep myself to myself and I have e few decent dogs aswell, this lurcher game has always held its fair share of arseholes but now its full of them all blowing their own trumpets and half the people with lurchers today shouldn't be allowed to keep pet fu**ING mice and by the way I know who stole the combine!!
