  1. I've got a 3/4gh x 1/4 beardie she has been a great taker of feather be it duck pheasant or the taking of woodcock on the lamp, and her knack of finding nests is uncanny but this normally results in the hen bird being brought back to hand aswell, for me the taking of feather is a must in an allrounder.
  2. Some of these posts and replys really make me pmsl keep them up lads!!!
  3. Yes mate that's the ones I use, when they are filled they hold around 2 pounds of meat, you can get smaller ones that hold just a pound of meat
  4. You done the right thing mate, there's no way I'd be putting my kids through the trauma of sending the dog back, and i dont think very much of the previous owner for even asking considering he knew that your son is autistic
  5. Pups are looking well mate, have you got them indoors, you can always tell when its a well reared litter, atb
  6. We seen it ourselfs last night while out for a shine, and we are in sw Scotland, we actually stood and watched what looked like parts of it burn out as it shot across the sky
  7. Tell you something mate she's gonna have a big litter she looks due to pop lol
  8. That's a tidy box mate you serve your time as a joiner lol
  9. One thing I would not do is allow another dog to put the pup in its place, and yes it is always better to start a pup on its own, on the day in question the pup was there only as a spectator, what surprised me the most was how quickly it manifested, the pup had never showed any signs of aggression or being possessive over food, kennel space, toys or retrieving dummies and she had already had carried dead fur and feather, thanks for your input and i will put things in motion to rectify this problem hopefully, thanks again
  10. She is a sal/gh x gh/coll/whip, it looks like thats what's gonna happen my old bitch took a couple of snaps off her and then snapped back but that made things worse I had to split them up, take the game out the equation and there is no problem, these two bitches are kennelled together, pup is only 7mths but the body posture and vicious attitude seems serious
  11. I introduced my pup to a bit of ferreting the other week, this was the first time she had seen live quarry, after it had been dispatched the pup went round the warren gathering up the rabbits and standing over them not letting the other dog near them, the pup was quite prepared to defend her rabbits and rather viciously, this all started with the very first rabbit of the day, she has been well socialized and never had to compete for food or affection and has been retrieving dead game, same thing today but with dead rabbits from last night but this time she was really gonna have a go when any o

Take my 5 year old grandson out as often as possible, he loves it, keeps trying to tell his mother that he needs to stay with us full time because the dogs and ferrets "Need Him"
  13. Yes maye best to paint or render block work to keep water out, if the blockwork is wet and you get a few days of frost it can blow the tiles of the inside, just dont want your hard work ruined, atb
  14. Are you going to render the outside pf the block work to help stop the penetration of water, looks tidy mate
  15. I would have knocked his cnut in and took the pups off him, report the prick hopefully some decent person will take the pups off him and give him a good slap
  16. Up at the top mate usually on the RHS at the end of the long spring, there is a tensioning nut held in place with a slip pin, you have to take the pressure off with the aid of a large shifting spanner and remove the pin, you then have to wind the tension up, I usually do this by pulling down on the shifter and inserting a nail punch into one of the holes allowing you to move the shifter and repeat the process, do this about 4-6 times and reinsert the slip pin, hope this helps atb p.s watch yer fingers
  17. No offence mate but that's one of the ugliest dogs I've laid eyes on, sorry if i've offended
  18. The fox and the hound
  19. A lot pf people saying how deadly it is, but no one wants to reveal the recipe lol
  20. Put it this way you or me get caught coursing a hare with a running dog, worst case senario for me would be banned from keeping dogs, if am a fcuking peado I get special treatment in the pokey (jail) and aloud to keep my knob so when free i can meet up with some unsuspecting female and create my own family, its fcuking joke hang the fcukers and save the tax payer a fortune
  21. Me mate i run a 1/2 x akita greyhound on rats
  22. Hang the fcukers live on tv at 6pm for all to see might act as a deterant to the rest of the dirty bsatards, reckon a few people would change their opinions on the death penalty if such a hideous crime happened to them, and yes i would be the executioner and i don't think I would suffer from one bit of remorse for hanging the filth, look at the job the system has done of Brady and Hyndly, Keith Bennetts old mother is still hoping for closure from that dirty b*****d!!!
  23. FFS glad am not hanging by the balls waiting for these pictures to be posted!!
  24. J.Dog what height is he standing at for 17 wks, he's a tidy looking lad, atb
  25. My father and grandfather kept greyhounds, whippets and ferrets. My grandfathers next door neighbour had lurchers, ferrets, chickens and a couple of terriers kicking around, always remember a salmon net strung out across the garden being repaired,so it was inevitable that i was gonna go down the hunting and fishing road, those two gardens between the animals, the veg and the array of fur and feather that was laid out in them over the years are still as clear in my head today as if it was yesterday. Now I have my own grandson of the age of 5 the whole circle is starting again and o wouldnt cha
