    The thing is,there are 10 Cock fish(smaller,up to 8-9lbs)to every one Hen fish,so,if you cull some of the Cock fish then the average size of the larger Hen fish will go up.I have eaten loads of Cock fish,and I shant stop any time soon.The waters I fish are full of Pike,and if you are looking for a large Hen thedn a way to find one is to fling around a spinner till you start to catch small Jacks(most of which will be Cock fish)then put a deadbait out nailed to the riverbed(nice oily fish like Pilchard etc)and the chances are you will get the Hen that will be attended by maybe 10 small Cock fish

    This happens a lot in the sort of land I stalk which consists of a lot of small valleys,the winds are never going one way,so sometimes it seems best to forget about the wind altogether. M

    Did the guy live right out in the boonies,and have shipping containers converted to freezer units?The meat truck used to come and collect when the freezers were filled with brumbies,kangaroos and camels?I remember a similar program from years ago.     Hi Code4,I watched a tv documentary about 25yrs ago,it was on the then new tv channel 4 and it was called 'The Hunter' and it was all about an Englishman that had gone over with his wife with the idea of buying farmland to grow cereals,but,when he found out that he couldn't afford the type of land he needed he went and bought so many thousands of acres of scrubland with a view to shooting feral Camels and Horses for pet food.It was an excellent programme and I wish I could watch it again,have you heard of it at all?     Stu,before Gerfalcon(Harry)came on and then back on(after being thrown off)your posts were both positive and informative,but,since his return I'm afraid you get dragged into his stupidity,so,if you feel the need to,and I mean both of you crack on about something that only you two are interested in then why not start your own thread and you can both go on as much as you want to,and I for one would stay away from it,and I would hope the rest would also.Just a thought.......Martin

    The answer is definitely don't just feed chicken carcases,get some lamb breasts and some meat trims from the butchers,and also some ground veg.
