  1. Did he improve with age or in different hands ?
  2. Is one of those dogs known as " The Bronze Bomber " ?
  3. Ok thanks smoggy . What do I put in to search ?
  4. Why do you say they are more suited to rough going rather than open flatland ? What's their speed and stay like compared to a saluki ?
  5. How are they bred exactly ? Are they being used for coursing ? Who's got the tazi import ?
  6. Splodge and snatch we're top dogs so were others in the litter including a very good bitch . For several years splodge was classed as the best match dog in the country and with good reason . However , like every dog he had his limits and prefered top going over heavy . He was extremely dangerous even on top hares for 3 to 4 minutes , after that the hare had a good chance of getting away , but let's face it they would have with most dogs . Never heard of splodge or snatch leaving any top pups though !
  7. just went out and bought the Countrymans weekly which I havnt bought for over a year, to read that article you mentioned with swoop in, looked threw every page and couldn't find anything apart from a bit gc wrote about a wolfhound cross, if you could send me £2.20 for the price of the paper and a bit of diesel money for traveling to the shop I would be very gratefull, will accept cheque or cash pm me for postal details, thanks a lot, looking forward to my reimbursement, all the best, the fens are farIt's in this weeks . Article by Gary caulfield about joe
  8. The summer coursers go snowbashing too and don't see anything wrong with that ! No wonder we get looked down on by other field sportsmen
  9. Better off waiting till september to start pups when you've got young green hares , the crops should be down and they are finishing breeding . Better for the pup , the hares and the sport ! You can only kill them once give them some respect
  10. The pup done well , now put him away till stubble time
  11. How many were milky does with levies left in the field to die !!!???
  12. I would have thought a first x beddy saluki wouldn't have enough speed , but I seen a couple of first cross Irish terrier salukis run a few years ago . I thought at the time , because of the lack of greyhound in the breed pace would be an issue , but it wasn't and they ran very well
  13. Merlin and eve are a mix of saluki bedlington greyhound with maybe a bit of something els . These are the foundation for most coursing dogs in the country , so I think this answers the question are they any good or not !
  14. Non whatsoever , there has been a couple of litters bred in the last three years ,most were rubbish burners the rest were second rate ,as are most first crosses ! We are past this ,thats why they dont get bred! A saluki to a Lurcher is a different story .
  15. Unfortunately it's more than just a small minority of both lampers and day walkers that have f..ked. Lurcher work up, by driving the land ,damaging crops, fences ,gates and hedges ! They leave dead deer in the middle of fields ,hares and rabbits are just discarded and slung in a ditch! The game is finished and it's all because of these selfish c.nts !!!!
  16. It's one of the main ways of escape on the fen . They never used to pipe up , only rarely ,but that was when we ran them with non saluki bred dogs which could be outran easier.
  17. Your a star cocker ! Can't understand why you haven't had a tap on the door yet though ? Or it kicked off !!!
  18. Your certainly sticking your chest out kc .ive never heard of you on the match scene , can you give me a bit of history ?
