    Yeah still that way,Basildon is currently building a new Cinema/shops/bars in the middle of town centre as it was getting run down,empty shops etc,Pitsea is the same,knocked the railway pub down and paved it ,little bit of a Market on there now but like most places not thriving like it used to be,it’s all about sanitised if you like.

    87-90 Wilf ,Minden ,Germanymost of it did BATUS Canada,woke up in a Canadian police cell wondering how I got there ,and spent last part of my illustrious career in MCTC Colchester,wanted out after the first real taste of pussy ,wouldn’t let me leave after spending money on me,so had a little breakdown in the officers mess....they weren’t happy...never liked officers though...respected very few to be fair apart from platoon Sgt.See a couple about still who had a brain ?Atb

    Mariskals I think it was almost opposite the school toward Basildon,yeah,little council houses Pat Tate had a disabled son with a girl there I believe,all a different era now for everyone.

    I went to school at Chalvedon and they lived opposite...my claim to fame lol,lovely education there,I learnt how to use my first driver there that my grandad bought me,line up the balls on tees on the rugby pitch then smash it towards the school windows,and bad hook or slice still a guaranteed window,pitching wedge up and over the school and once a phenomenal pitch over the school and into a skip....tiktokkers eat your heart out,metalwork with Mr Kerr (Wayne)of course consisted of dodging lit paper airplanes containing spark plugs,and my 4th and 5th year back then consisted of moving from Satu

    BLC1(breakthrough listen) is interesting,they have been searching for tech signals and found this,apparently past some tests that rule out anything we create or nature,releasing more results this year about it.It’s local ...in there terms,not just past the co-op,I did throw an ortovox receiver many moons ago into some brambles...it may still be giving off a dodgy signal...it’s out there?

    Just to come round to what I read and made me start posting,yeah I reckon the working terrier over any other breed has the toughest job, I also think it’s gameness and preydrive that’s called on every dig,for the good ones.

    Where does gameness come from seems to be a good question,ability to do its job or the desire to catch,hold and consume be it a working terrier or a gamebred pit is prey drive. Some gamebred champions were that good at the catch hold consume there gameness was questioned as they were never taking a beating.

    Gameness is interesting because people have different ideas on it,how do you define it?Are you talking individual animals Greb or something as a whole like Honeybadgers?

    Yeah ok,that’s why I think some bulldog historians believe there was no need to add terrier to there breed because it was already the agile athlete not the fat,short,nose pushed back dog called bulldog today.Seems that name American pit bull terrier caused confusion,as I know you know they were always referred to as Bulldog.As soon as Pitbull terriers was used you automatically think terrier is in the mix but some folk who have done some next level research think they were from ancient Mollosar types.Preaching to the enlightened here but you know bulldogs/pits over in states weight has always

    No,that was selective breeding,same goes for working terriers and it came up on here a while back about lads working certain quarry,without them suicidally game dogs entering the gene pool don’t you end up with nothing but bayers...then worse.And you’re right the hardest task for both

    Armchair expert here,but I like the narrative that the Apbt is the original bulldog,and has been around long before that deformed bulldog that became the show bulldog appeared....then they added terrier and got the Ebt out of that.As for gameness, ie wanting to do its job/task even when it’s clearly taking a beating,and prey drive being catch and hold well both gamebred pits and working terriers have this,the aces in bucketloads.Only read the last page of thread,was there an argument going on ...on either not being game???atb J
