    I think that when you propose all of these solutions you need to remember that there is a massive jobs deficit at the moment. It is incredibly hard to find even the most basic work at the moment. I also don't think that many people actually want to spend their lives on the dole, what is it £50 a week? With inflation as it is, that really won't stretch far. I think that our country should focus on the people who do have jobs and reward them for working - they need to sort out the sad fact that a lot of people earning minimum wage would be better off claiming benefits - can you really blam

    This is all we need! I hope the cretinous fool is stupid enough to resist arrest, so that the numerous police on his tail are forced to send a few 9mm HPs in his direction! I don't care what the circumstances were that provoked them to do this, taking a weapon of any kind and going on a shooting spree is never the answer. This could well be the nail in the coffin for our sport...

    I'm interested... Sorry Squirrel mate. I've had a think about this,,, My .177 TX200HC is a mint condition, wicked shooting rifle, in bone dry heat or soaking in the rain and the scope is a cracker too so, I'm withdrawing it from any potential sale as I'd be losing more than a dear field companion. I would rather starve than let her, or any of my other rifles go. Shooting is what I live for mate. You understand How much should I be able to get one new for?     Oh no it can't, especially with complex variables like wind. But it can use Physics to map out, to a reliable degree, things like the parabolic trajectory of bullets when shooting at different angles and the effect changing various variables will have on it - which can save you a lot of trouble, although the results obtained can only ever be as accurate as the variables inputted! After, there must be a reason that all of the major companies developing munitions and the military forces which utilize them, use more advanced versions of these programs extensively!

    Of course you're not racist! I too am an avid fisherman (mainly coarse,) and I have witnessed men of eastern European decent taking Carp, Barbel, Roach and Chub for the pot, and every time I approach them in a friendly manner and casually ask if they have a fishing licence. To this day I've yet to meet one who has, and I've encountered many. I think that the problem is caused by a conflict in cultures, and to be fair - when was the last time you were asked to produce a licence by an official?

    It's pointless acts of cruelty like this that are going to see air rifles require a Section 1 FAC in the future - you may be incredulous now but it could so easily happen, and it would have devastating ramifications for our sport. As usual it all comes down to a small minority ruining it for the overwhelming majority because they are too immature, irresponsible and reckless to be afforded the freedoms that decent human beings are.

    If you're talking about the SMK Westlake, I wouldn't shoot one if you gave it to me; and I definitely wouldn't attempt to kill anything with it. I had a .177 a while back and I couldn't hit the broadside of a barn with it (which I don't consider to be a reflection of my own ability as I have shot PCP target pistols before with decent groupings at 10M.) Moreover I doubt it even has enough kinetic energy, oh and the .22 variant doesn't even have a rifled barrel! I think he'd have more success throwing bricks at them... PS: I'm sorry if you didn't mean the gun I'm talking about.

    Sadly you're right, Davy but if we were legally allowed to shoot thieving, chav, scum, lowlifes as vermin control then Mole would be correct I'd put it under 'Pest Control'.

    I agree, I was utterly shocked when I saw that part of the program, how someone could do that to someone else I will never understand... I personally feel sorry for the people of Africa, they are still being exploited for their natural resources by the Western World - if anything they have more problems now than they did before!
