  1. That's unbelievable, I can't stand people that are so willing to fleece someone else like that, just to make a quick bit of cash! Fortunately most of them aren't stupid enough to trick anyone, unless their mark is really naive...
  2. Didn't one of his other family members shoot him in the head, then top himself while Paddy was in intensive care?
  3. Mate, while I wouldn't want to face the barrel of one, it's important to remember that the limit on air rifles in this country has been set specifically to limit their effectiveness as a weapon. I imagine that it'd sting like a hornet, but I doubt it penetrate a thick puffa-jacket or coat, and even then it wouldn't incapacitate your assailant; probably just fuel their rage. It's important to remember that firearms aren't a pain-compliance weapon, they're designed for instant incapacitation and the very minimum force required for this was conjectured by the American army to be around 60 ft
  4. Since when did Pikies embrace the law?
  5. I would be very interested to see his doctoral credentials. Seriously though imagine being homosexual and having to live in that shít hole... I think Homos quite like "shit holes" lol
  6. I would be very interested to see his doctoral credentials. Seriously though imagine being homosexual and having to live in that shít hole...
  7. Scientific calculations of external ballistics are only accurate to a certain degree (even with sub-sonic air rifles .) I was going to write my own program for air rifles, for everyone on the forum to use (I did something similar for muzzle-loaders a while back,) but I stumbled across this program: Chairgun Pro it is quite simply excellent, it's completely free and they haven't omitted any features I can think of...
  8. I don't see anything wrong with it, in a weird way I think it's kinda cute. Like this one:
  9. not trying to be funny here mate but advertising that you are still a kid and wanting to buy an airgun is illegal and could drop the seller in the preverbial, they can only be sold to persons aged 18 and over Darryl Good point mate, although I imagine that he intended to let his parents buy the rifle on his behalf, in order to fully comply with the law.
  10. Pianoman is a sniper? I had no idea, I've always wanted to talk to a real life Carlos Hathcock!
  11. I know right, the whole English language is ironic! Phonetic isn't spelled phonetically, Dyslexia is hard to spell and abbreviation is a long word...
  12. What sort of groups are you getting now mate?
  13. No!! Someone else who's been digging around... Thanks! Seriously though, the recent debacles in this section have really put me off buying a second hand air rifle here. Which is a shame as I've only been here a month and I'm sure the majority of the members on here are decent folk. I'm just not willing to take the chance of getting scammed by some chancer... Also the text speak and appalling spelling/grammar can be frustrating at times, I accept that not everyone is a pedant for spelling; but when it gets to the point that some posts are completely incomprehensible somethin
  14. Ah... that armchair expert isn't me is it?
  15. Just thought I'd point out, in this country he wouldn't be breaking the law...
  16. That sounds pretty sweet, I may be interested. Although I must stress that fact that I can't take it off your hands until April 17th, when I'm 18!
  17. Oh if you're interested in slingshots you should definitely check out this forum: http://slingshotforum.com/
  18. I've taken a Grey Squirrel and two small Pigeons with slingshots. They're quite hard to be consistently accurate with and take about as much time and effort to become proficient with as a traditional bow does. They are however surprisingly powerful, a friend chronograph-ed, the one I used to take a squirrel, at meters per second! I use 9.5mm ball-bearings and .44" caliber lead shot for my ammo, the former I can get around 8 ft/lb of energy from with a very light draw, the latter over 16 ft/lb!
  19. Yes, he said so several times on the program itself. Anyway that's his prerogative, who cares?
  20. It is refreshing to see justice served for once, there have been way too many cases similar to this where the victim has had to themselves not only from their assailant, but also later in the docks. People routinely criticize America's policy on this, but you cannot deny the fact that they have the lowest break-in rates in the world! I wonder why...
