  1. I like to watch them work for 2 seasons then just bred from the best one , that goes for hobs n jills
  2. Any one know of any ferret shows in the Yorkshire Lincolnshire area? No silly jokes about shampooing and conditioning them ! It’s my young daughter that likes to take them straight from the hutch ! I think it’s a good thing she likes it and I want to keep her interest in it ( I enjoy a pint and watching the show field)

  4. Just done them all with ivermectin, was pleased with young jill her first time out and bolted one from a nice 3 holer , I used to be all about the numbers but am happy to watch the ferrets n dogs work now

Just been at the local school for a few hours this morning had 2 bolt and dug 2 , and one got away, all bucks , not to bad for 2 hours last year I think I got 13 from the same holes , only toke one photo but dog and ferret worked well when taking collar off my hob I noticed the biggest tick I think Iv ever seen was massive and still white so not started drinking yet , I will give him some ivermectin to be safe
  6. Iv always just had the op and it’s always worked, but I always shop around as prices can be very different from vets to vets
  7. Ended up with bow ( chris,s lass ) her ped is on the Whippet archives very pleased with her if you keep looking the right dog will come up just don’t rush
  8. I did contact Penny Medow but they did not have any pups available or in the pipe line ,
  9. Like who ? I rung a fair few litters and people saying how good a worker the Bitch is etc then when I asked the age of the bitch they said 20 months! Must of worked well as a pup ha
  10. I found it hard to find a genuine working Whippet, went to look at loads of litters in the end i managed to find a genuine bloke down in Essex and waited for a litter to come up
  11. I fed my used Sloes to then hens not sure if they had a hangover in the morning or not
  12. Yer I think it’s important to get the next generation involved and interested, she’s putting wax leggings on her Christmas list she tells me ha ha ( we’re am I going to find tiny wax leggings ha )
  13. My oldest Whippet marks well mate iv started taking them out separately so she’s not just fallowing him all time , am pleased with the little bitch she’s doing well
  14. My mate works as a gardener at a big house and asked if I would go sort some rabbits out for him , me and my daughter went this morning . Lots off signs of rabbits and some nice sets we netted up the fist one but no luck , next set we had one dig , and the last set the little hob was in for ages moving about but no bolts then he stayed still one 2ft hole in the lawn and 3 rabbits out off one stop end , I’d love to know what goes on down there , off to make rabbit stu tomorrow with young un as that’s what she’s asked for
  15. The fife dose sound very nice , I need to have a bid on some breeding cages and get set up do they breed easily? And keep easy ?
  16. Our local diy shop sells them , only a few quid for a pack of 4
  17. Might have to invest in a double breeder , and have a bid , only thing is at the sales your probably buying someone’s rubbish
  18. Any one keep Yorkshire Canary’s ? Saw some at the bird sale and was quite taken buy them , are they hard to bred ? Do they sing well ?
  19. My mate bred a very similar litter but they all turned out vegan and would only eat sprouts and wheat grass

  21. Ha , I only keep ferrets that work I don’t bother about size or colour as long as they work , I have 2 lines of ferret one is smaller then normal but if am off out for a big day I always take the bigger jills ( not massive just normal)
  22. One of my small bred jill , very good worker and just slips through the net no problem, ( only use her on smaller burys)
