  1. Try coating them with butter, they slide down easier then
  2. Ruby,Mouse,Maisy,Daisy,Josie,Sheila,Penny,Holly Good luck
  3. Brilliant pics The pups are beautiful
  4. Thats nonsense mate. They certainly are a commitment but theres no reason to feed at certain times. I feed my dogs when i want to feed them. They are normally fed after a walk around 5-6 but that doesn't mean to say they haven't been fed at 12 in the afternoon or at 10 at night. I'm the boss not them..... I agree,I'm sure that if you fed them at exactly the same time every day, you would have howling dogs on your hands. Mine get fed when it suits me
  5. You've done the right thing,it was unfair on the dog leaving him in the kennel,I'm sure he'll be happier in his new home so don't feel bad
  6. Sounds like you've made a rod for your own back. I'd definately give them their evening meal later (about 6pm) and get them back on the Skinners(its what my dogs have, apart from the pup) You've definately got to change their routine, otherwise your lifes not your own Try not to stick to the same times too,if you let them, they will try and rule you,so if they do wake you up at 7am,just let them out and then go back to bed and feed them when you choose They'll soon adapt
  7. Good luck with your new pup, you won't go far wrong with a pup out of Mallys breeding Top bloke and good photographer too
  8. I agree, but sometimes good feet can be spoiled by running a dog on the wrong kind of ground. I know it's not always easy to choose your running ground, and accidents can happen, but if I can try and prevent a dislocated toe by being abit careful as to where I run my dogs, then I will.
  9. Nice little pack you've got there, like the black one
  10. Exactly what I was thinking, Good luck with the pups Clare
  11. Sorry to read about your dog Paulus, I hope he makes a full recovery I must admit I had never heard of Rhabdomyolsis until I read this, and it makes very interesting reading. I hope it never happens to any of my dogs, but at least if it does I'll now know what it is .
  12. Nice looking dogs Hoker, the black one catches my eye
  13. Thats a nice pic of your dogs firstlight Your old bitch is lovely she looks similar to my old bitch
  14. Yes, I've heard of it ,but don't know anything about it I remember someone telling me of a non-ped whippet born with both male & female organs
  15. LOL Don't even think Kim & Aggie know about that cleaning tip This is what they recommend Banish odours by sprinkling bicarbonate of soda inside shoes. Shake it out before wearing them, though
  16. Have to agree with you there pal Remember that old saying " Charity begins at home "
  17. Good advice there The worst thing you can do is lose your temper because the dog will sense this and never come to you. I once had a bitch (infact I still have her)she's 12 now and never leaves my side ,but when she was a pup, she was an absolute nightmare to get back on the lead, she just thought it was a game.I would call her,she would come towards me and stop, and as I approached her with the lead she would just run away. In the end the treat thing worked for me, I would call her , give her a treat ,and loads of praise and I wouldn't always put her back on her lead. Good luck with your d
  18. Dogs look well, hope your new pup does you proud
  19. Have you tried tempting him with a dog treat ?
  20. Remember it well, proper music
  21. Know what you mean, but the dog can't have been that rubbish in the 1st place if it turned out good
  22. A handy animal will shine threw kept in the poorest of conditions by the worst dog handler but it will never reach its full potential. An average dog kept in the best conditions by an experienced handler will reach its full potential and be kept around that potential. As for the saying you get what you put in, yes this can be true if its in there to get out but no matter how good the man is if its not in there it cannot come out. Very true
