  2. I've got 3 boys, Dylan 19, Declan 16 and Brodie 7, they have all had the oppertunity and been ferreting, lamping, shooting, fishing, nesting, etc, etc. The eldest took to ferreting, lamping, shooting and fishing though at the moment the social side of life has taken over. The youngest is similair and has done all of the above, last summer we went camping, building dams etc which he took to. Declan was given the same oppertunities but from a young age I knew it wasn't for him, I doubt he could name 5 birds, has never built a dam, has shot targets with the air rifle but wouldn't shoot a rabbit or

  12. I read the post aswell, I think it was written by Bird but has been removed. It was on the thread below and post 17 makes reference to it. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/311855-collie-greyhound-dog/page-2 I've had collie crosses in the past and would have them again, had a 5/8th grey x 3/8 collie that did the lot, also had a 1/2 cross that was superb at lamping and ferreting but at about 16 month started to open up on occasions. Had others aswell with a touch of whippet or deerhound in the mix but stil a 1/4 collie which I kind of prefer, don't like too much collie in there
